STEM Graphic Art Project Guidelines

Linear, Absolute Value, and Quadratic Functions

Part 2 Due: Tuesday, April 28th
This project will demonstrate your ability to write equations and transform functions, as well
as work with the types of functions we have studied so far this year (linear, absolute value,
and quadratic). Desmos is pretty simple to use; getting a good piece of artwork will require
much patience and perseverance.

Requirements
Part 2 (Points TBD):
Draw a picture that includes one image per group member. Each
image must:
o Include at least ten equations/inequalities in total. You
need:
At least two quadratic equations
At least two absolute value equations
At least two inequalities (these provide the shading)
o Be colorful and creative!
Write equations for all lines/parabolas in each image (you must
pass in all work)
Input all equations into Desmos to recreate your picture
Email the design to Ms. Kohn
Part 3 (Points TBD): 3D component
More details to come soon!
