Narrative of Offense Committed
On or about the above stated date and time, the Defendant did
be intoxicated or simulate intoxication while being in a public place

AFFIDAVIT
STATE OF IOWA, SAC COUNTY
I, the undersigned, being duly sworn, state that all facts contained in this Complaint and Affidavit, known by me or told to me by other reliable persons form the basis for my
belief that the defendant committed this crime
State all facts and persons relied upon supporting elements of alleged crime
On August 15, 2015, I was called to a disturbance in Lytton. Female caller advised her son was being out of control and she wanted someone to come
talk to him. When I arrived in Lytton I observed a subject identified as Jarrett Morgan sitting on the bench outside of Proliant. I approached the subject
and asked him what was going on with him and his mom. He began explaining the situation to me. The whole time in speaking with Morgan I could
smell a strong odor of Alcohol coming from his person. Morgan also had a thick and slurred speach. Morgan did admit to having 2 beers. After hearing
what he had to say I placed him in the back of my squad car and went to speak with his mom. While speaking with mom, Morgan began hitting and
banging around in the back of my vehicle. Morgan was then asked out of my vehice and advised he was being placed under arrest for public
intoxication, and transported to the Sac COunty Jail. At the Jail, Morgan consented to a PBT which indicated a BAC of .266%.

The court conducted the defendant's first appearance by telephone. After discussion including
advising the defendant of his rights and emphasizing that he had the right to have an attorney
represent him in this matter since a 2nd offense for public intoxication is an enhanced charge, the
defendant advised that he did not wish to have an attorney and that he elected to enter a guilty plea.

The court accepted the guilty plea and sentenced the defendant to time served plus payment of the
court costs. Those costs shall be paid on or before September 28, 2015 or the defendant shall appear
and show cause on September 29, 2015 10:00 AM.

The court then ordered that the defendant should be released at such time as he tests as sober.
