Studentswillbegivenvariousopportunitiesthroughouttheyeartoexpandupontheirknowledgethrough

Activeparticipationintheclassroomisexpecteddaily.Inordertocreateafunandpositiveclassroom
environment,studentswillbeaskedtoparticipateinindividual,smallgroup,andwholeclassassignments.
Studentsshouldcometoclasspreparedwithallmaterials(seeabove)inordertobefullyengagedinthelesson.
Homework/Classwork
Mathhomeworkwillbeassignedanddueonevendaysthroughouttheschoolyear.Homeworkassignments
arelocatedontheboarddailysothatstudentscancopytheassignmentsintotheiragendas(sopleasedoso!)If
homeworkisnotcompleteonthedayitisdue,studentsmaystillturnitinforpartialcredit.Itisthestudents
responsibilitytobeawareoflateassignmentsandmissedwork.Twentyfivepercent(25%)perdaywillbe
deductedforlateassignments.Studentswillhavethreedaystocompleteworkthatwasmissedduetoabsence.

LeavingtheClassroom/Lockers/Bathroom
Studentsareaskedtoabidebythe10/10rule.Thatis,studentsarenotpermittedtoleavetheclassroomduring
thefirstandlast10minutesoftheclassperiod.Studentsthroughoutthedaycanaccesslockersduringthe4
minutetransitionperiod.Studentsareonlyallowedtoleaveclasswithasignedpassbytheteacher.Onlyone
studentmaybeoutoftheclassroomatatime.
