Abstract
An amazing link between the Quran and prime numbers has been found and as a
result a new numerology system called “Primalogy” is proposed to help decode the
Quran with the permission of the Almighty God, Allah.
Summary
After defining what prime numbers are and how they make up all other numbers and
their link to the distribution of energy levels within atoms, their amazing use as the
underlying structure for the Quran is revealed, opening the door to a new numerical
research into the Holy Quran.
The structure of the opening chapter of the Quran, The Key (‫)الفاتحة‬, is first studied
followed by a proposition that the Quran = Key + Message with a scientific proof
from chapter The Iron (‫)الحديد‬.
A new numerology system based on prime numbers is then given and Primalogy
values of both The Key (‫ )الفاتحة‬and The Unity (‫ )الخلص‬chapters are calculated and
shown to be primes with prime digit sums.
Finally, an important finding regarding the year 2012 is uncovered within chapter
The Merciful (‫ )الرحمن‬which is confirmed by applying the above “prime with prime digit
sums” criterion as well as the number of words in this chapter.
Prime Numbers
A prime number is a natural number (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, …) that is divisible only by itself
and one. The first few primes are 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31, ...
All other natural numbers (except 1) are not primes but composite numbers and
are simply produced by multiplying prime numbers together (e.g. 4=2*2, 6=2*3,
8=2*2*2, 9=3*3, ...). Prime numbers are therefore considered as the multiplicative
building blocks for all natural numbers including themselves.

Until 1899 number 1 was considered prime but was dropped from the list of primes
to simplify the fundamental theorem of arithmetic and therefore considered neither
prime nor composite but the unit of numbers or the additive building block for all
natural numbers (e.g. 1=1, 2=1+1, 3=1+1+1, 4=1+1+1+1, …). The arguments for
whether 1 is prime or not are still raging.

Around 300BC Euclid, Father of Geometry, [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euclid]
proved that there is an infinite number of prime numbers and 70 years later, around
230BC Eratosthenes [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eratosthenes] developed a sieve
method for finding prime numbers below any number N by sequentially removing all
numbers that are multiple of prime numbers below the square root of N.
In 1793 Carl Gauss, the Prince of Mathematics, who once said "Mathematics is the
queen of the sciences and number theory is the queen of mathematics." claimed that
the ratio of prime numbers within natural numbers decreases natural-logarithmically
as numbers go higher and higher [1/ln(N)] but never diminishes, (e.g. 25% in 100,
16.8% in 1000, 7.9% in million, 5.1% in billion, 3.8% in trillion, 3% in quadrillion,
…) which turned out to be almost true but not quite true

Although the ratio of primes follows some predictable pattern, the distribution of
prime numbers among natural numbers has no known pattern but yet seems not
random. In 1859 Bernard Riemann [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernhard_Riemann]
proposed his Riemann Hypothesis to correct the error terms in Gauss’ equation but
never include a proof of it and thus the hypothesis remains one of the greatest open
questions in mathematics with a $1,000,000 prize to whoever proves or disproves it.

In 1972 Hugh Montgomery and Freeman Dyson
[http://seedmagazine.com/content/article/prime_numbers_get_hitched] uncovered a
new amazing relationship between the distribution of non-trivial zeros of the zeta

function in the Riemann Hypothesis and the distribution of energy states of the
electrons in heavy atoms like Uranium.
The Key
The Holy Quran starts with a chapter appropriately called The Key (‫ )الفاتحة‬shown
below using the standard recitation method of Hefs and the Uthmanic method of
writing.

The path of those whom You bestowed your bounties upon; not of those who have
brought upon themselves Your wrath, nor of those who went astray.
This chapter consists of 7 verses, 29 words and 139 letters. Not only are these
prime numbers but their digit sums (7 = 7, 2+9 = 11 and 1+3+9 = 13) are primes
too, and the sum of these digit sums (7+11+13 = 31) is yet another prime. Simply
amazing! What’s more, joining these prime numbers left-to-right 729139 and right-
to-left 139297 also produces primes. And to cap it all, 729139297 is also prime!!!
This is a clear evidence that Bism Allah Ar-Rahmaan Ar-Raheem is verse #1 not just
a preface to the chapter and is therefore is mandatory and must be recited at all
times, not just at the beginning of prayers.
This also shows that the most common recitation method of Hafs (‫ )حفص‬through
Aasim (‫ )عاصم‬through Imam Ali bin abi Talib (‫طالب‬ ‫ )علي بن أبي‬is the correct version
and other versions only add noise and distortion to the Word of Allah and must
therefore be eliminated.

The Message
Having established that the structure of the Key chapter is firmly built upon prime
numbers, attention was turned to the structure of the whole Quran which consists of
114 chapters with different number of verses as follows:

Although the numbers of chapters and of verses are not prime numbers, Allah says
to the Prophet (pbuh&f) in Quran: 15:87
"‫م‬ ِ َ‫ن ٱل ْع‬

َ ‫ظي‬ ُ ْ ‫مَثاِنى وَٱل‬
َ ‫قْرَءا‬ َ ْ ‫ن ٱل‬
َ ‫م‬
ّ ‫سب ًْعا‬

َ ‫قد ْ َءات َي ْ َٰن‬
“.And We’ve given you seven of the doubles and the great Quran “
where the seven doubles were explained by the Prophet (pbuh&f) as the seven
َ ْ ‫ ”ٱل‬can also mean “َ ‫ ”َثناء‬or

verses of The Key chapter because the word “‫نى‬
“praise” which is the subject of the chapter in which Allah teaches man how to
approach Him for mercy and guidance after praising and extolling Him sincerely.
As a result, the Quran was considered as two parts: a Key part which consists of The
Key chapter and a Message part which consists of the remainder 113 chapters,
therefore:
Quran = Key + Message
114 = 1 + 113 chapters
6236 = 7 + 6229 verses
God behold! Every number was prime. 1, 113, 7, and 6229 are all prime numbers
(although 1 is currently considered the Unit which more important than a prime) and
their digit sums (1+1+3 = 5, 7 = 7, 6+2+2+9 = 19) are primes too. This suggests
that the number of words and the number of letters for the whole Quran could be
prime numbers with prime digit sums and Allah knows best.

Currently, all softcopies of the Quran found on the Internet are not authorized by any
religious body and have different word and letter counts to each other and do not
exhibit the above properties of primes and prime digit sums and therefore cannot be
relied upon. An authorized softcopy of the Quran is urgently required to continue
this research with letter-processing (skipping, shifting, 3D matrices), etc. Please
help!
Chapter Numbers
The Quran does not assign sequence numbers to chapters, it only assigns names.
Chapter sequence numbers are used for easy referencing only and are not part of
the Quran. Based on the elegant equation Quran = Key + Message, a new 1+113
chapter numbering system is proposed where The Key remains as chapter #1, and
all subsequent chapters making up The Message are given new sequence numbers
from #1 to #113.
This new 1+113 chapter numbering system can be scientifically confirmed by
matching chapter The Iron (‫ )الحديد‬which is currently numbered 57 back to 56, , the
same value as its atomic weight ~55.845
[http://www.chem.qmul.ac.uk/iupac/AtWt], that’s 56 times heavier than Hydrogen.
Indeed by adopting this 1+113 system, chapter the Unity or Oneness of God (‫)الخلص‬
would get a new sequence number of #111 which is much more in agreement with
the meaning of Oneness when compared to its current #112 number.

Numerology Systems
Different numerology systems are in existence and the Abjad one is the most
common system used with Arabic and Hebrew text to calculate numeral values.
For the purpose of this research however, a new system is proposed that based on
prime values not logarithmic values.
Standard Numerology System
The standard numerology system [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abjad_numerals]

assigns logarithmic values to the Arabic letters in the original Abjad order as shown

Standard Numerology System
Applying this numerology system to the 139 letters of The Key chapter did not

produce a prime sum but 10143 = 7 * 207 pointing to the seven doubles twice.
A positive result but is not relevant to our prime number research into the Quran.
A new system was needed.

Proposed Primalogy System
Having failed to find any prime number results with the standard numerology
system, a new system was proposed that assigns prime values to the modern
Alphabetic letter order as shown below:

Proposed Primalogy System
Although the Arabic language has 28 letters, this research considers standalone
Hemza (‫ )ء‬as an independent letter that precedes all other letters and thus we have
29 letters which a prime number too.
Other dependent letters like elf above letter (ٰ ) and the floating hemza above line (َٔ )
are ignored while shortened elf (‫)ى‬, hemza above elf (‫ )أ‬and hemza below elf (‫ )إ‬are
considered basic elf and hemza above waw (‫ )ؤ‬and above yaa (‫ )ئئ‬are considered
basic waw and yaa respectively.
The goal was to find the best Primalogy system to produce Primalogy Values (PVs)
that are primes and have prime digit sums too, and this system yielded exactly that.

And God behold everything fell into place when this new Primalogy system applied to
the 139 letters of The Key chapter as follows:

prime and its digit sum of 8+3+1+7 = 19 is also prime.

To validate the system further, it was then applied to chapter The Unity (‫ )الخلص‬and
God behold!, both with and without Bism Allah Ar-Rahmaan Ar-Raheem it produced
prime PVs and prime digit sums as follows:

The total Primalogy Value with BismAllah = 4201 with its digit sum 4+2+0+1 = 7
are both primes, and the total Primalogy Value without BismAllah = 3167 with its
digit sum 3+1+6+7 = 17 are both also primes too which shows that the BismAllah
of this chapter is optional.
The Merciful Verse

The Merciful verse (‫آية‬ ‫ )الرحمن‬is a four-worded verse that is repeated 31 times in
chapter The Merciful:
“What other bounties of your Sustainer do you still belie?” َ ُ ‫َرب ّك‬
“‫ما‬ ِ‫فَب ِأ َىّ َءاَل ٓء‬
ِ ‫”ت ُك َذ َّبا‬
‫ن‬
Not only 31 is a prime number but the sum of the numbers of these repeated verses
is also a prime number with prime digit sum as shown below:

1+4+3+3 = 11 is prime too.
Furthermore, using our new Primalogy System the total PV value for the Merciful
Verse is 71+3+2+107 + 1+2+83+2+1 + 29+3+79+89+2 + 5+79+23+3+2+97 =
683 which is prime and its digit sum 6+8+3 = 17 is prime too.

Quran and 2012
The current Hijri year is 1430AH (After Hijra) or 2009AD (Anno Domini). “If” the
number 1433, the sum of the numbers of the repeated Merciful verse, was meant to
be as a reference to the Hijri year 1433 AH, then we are less than three years away
from something that is to be uncovered by just in time to prepare humanity for it.
Indeed, this is a big “IF“, but the evidence is plainly there within the same chapter
that the number 1433 is a reference to a year, and not any year but a Hijri year,
and not any Hijri year but 1433AH because the number of words in this chapter
including bismAllah is exactly the same as the number of days in the Hijri year
1433AH which has the following month days:
30+29+30+30+29+30+30+29+30+29+30+29 = 355 days.
Notice that a Hijri year is a lunar year with either 354 or 355 days

It is therefore suggested that a four-day event will repeat itself (Quran 44:10 &
44:15) 31 times before a BIG event takes place (Quran 44:16) as predicted by the
Mayan Calendar [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maya_Calendar]:

“On a day when we seize you with a mighty onslaught: We are taking revenge.”
The word “‫ن‬

ُ ” or “taking revenge” can be seen as revenge for those who
belie God’s bounties or signs (‫ء‬ ‫ءاَل‬
ِ ٓ َ ). More evidence that sunlight will be blocked
out for a long time (perhaps for the 10 months between 7-Jan-2012 and 11-Nov-
2012) can be found in Quran 36:37:
“‫ن‬ ُ ِ ‫مظ ْل‬

َ ‫مو‬ ّ ‫هم‬ َ ِ ‫هاَر فَإ‬
ُ ‫ذا‬ َ ّ ‫ه ٱلن‬
ُ ْ ‫من‬ ُ َ ‫سل‬
ِ ‫خ‬ ْ َ‫ل ن‬ ُ ُ‫ةۭ ل ّه‬
ُ ْ ‫م ٱل ّي‬ ٌ َ ‫”وََءاي‬
“And a sign for them the night We peel daylight out of it and behold they are
plunged into darkness.”
Once again, only Allah knows the future and we therefore seek forgiveness from
Allah, the Sustainer of the worlds for any transgression we may have committed.
And if it turned out to be true, then it is all due to the help of Allah (swt) that we
were allowed to know early enough in order to purify our souls before it is too late,
as there is nothing can be done to stop it.
Quran and 2192
In all cases, this will certainly not the End of the World; it could just be a small
correction on the large scale of things because an even further future year can be
extracted from the same Merciful verse by arranging its 31 repeated verse numbers
right-to-left to yield a 62-digit number that is divisible only by 7:

Splitting this 64-digit number into 31 2-digit numbers and then adding them up,
yields a new prime number with a prime digit sum:

+90+61+75+75+46+46+17+31+16+59 = 1619 with digit sum 1+6+1+9 = 17.
Future generations should watch out for the year 1619AH or 2192AD but always
keep in mind that it is only Allah knows when the End of the World will come and can
bring it at anytime at the blink of an eye or even nearer Quran 16:77:

“And to Allah belongs the Unseen of the heavens and earth. And the matter of the
Hour is not but as twinkling of the eye, or even nearer. Truly! Allah is Able to do all
things.”
Further Research
This research is at its early stages and is still open to all who wish to help the group
grow and be effective in awakening the general public to take heed and be ready to
meet their Creator instead of the endless pursuit of worldly desires and materialism.
Our souls need to conform to the commands of our spirits to please Allah alone and
be ready to fight evil under the banner of Imam Mehdi and Prophet Jesus (pbu both).
Muslims and non-Muslims alike need to think collectively as a unit, not as islands, of
knowledge despite our differences to try our best to decode Allah’s Message using
prime numbers amongst other tools and to make noble use of it for the good of all,
not the selfish few.
God orders us to contemplate the Quran and study its miracles and one such miracle
is its prime number-based structure. By now, it should be clear that prime numbers
are The Key to unlocking some of the hidden secrets of the Quran and thanks to

Allah the first secret has been revealed in good time to allow people of the Earth to
prepare and pray for mercy as 2012 approaches.
Survivors will need more guidance from Allah to find a robust decoding method to
unlock the secrets of the Quran. Further research will look at such methods as
skipping a prime number of letters or words, shifting letters by different prime
numbers depending on their positions within words, verses or chapters, or most
likely arranging letters in a 3D matrix (or shapes) of various prime dimensions and
join letters horizontally, vertically or diagonally to find hidden knowledge in sha
Allah.
Conclusion
Glory to Allah the Omnipresent, Omniscience and Omnipotent a new Key to
decoding the Quran has been found with the first chapter of the Quran appropriately
called The Key (‫ )الفاتحة‬that is purely based on prime numbers, namely 7 verses, 29
words, and 139 letters.
As a result, a new numerology system called “Primalogy” was constructed and was
successfully applied to chapter The Key (‫ )الفاتحة‬and chapter The Unity (‫ )الخلص‬to yield
Primalogy Values that are primes (8317, 4201|3167) and prime digit sums (19, 7|
17) as a double signature of Allah (swt). This also proved that Bism Allah Ar-
Rahmaan Ar-Raheem is an integral part of chapter The Key as it is indeed verse #1,
while it is an optional part of chapter The Unity and is a preface to it.
For lack of an authorized copy of the Quran that can be processed by a computer
letter by letter, a manual scan through the Quran raised curiosity of the oft-repeated
verse of chapter The Merciful (‫ )الرحمن‬which reads:
“What other bounties of your Sustainer do you still belie?” “‫ن‬

ِ ‫ُتَكّذَبا‬ ‫ى َءاَلِءَٓرّبُكَما‬
ّ ‫”َفِبَأ‬
A quick manual count of the number of repetitions of this verse yielded the prime
number 31 and summing up the verse numbers of these repetitions yielded the
prime 1433 that is shown to point to the Hijri year 1433AH for Allah didn’t leave any
room for doubt when He made the number of words in this chapter 355, the same
as the number of days in the year 1433AH. One-to-one mapping of words to days

revealed that the first occurrence of this verse will start on 7th January 2012 and
the last occurrence will end on 7th November 2012.
Further research revealed yet another future year of 1619AH which maps to
2192AD. This 180-year gap proves that 2012 will not be the End of the World but
instead a new Spiritual Awakening by all humanity will take place in sha Allah.
Final Thought
One final thought that concerns the nature of the text of the Quran itself is whether
the text is static or alive as suggested by Quran 2:106:
"‫"ما ننسخ من ءاية أو ننسها نأت بخير منها أو مثلها ألم تعلم أن ال على كل شىء قدير‬
"Any verse (sign or revelation) that We edit or cause to be forgotten, We bring
a better one or similar to it. Don't you know that Allah is capable of doing anything?"
This verse is so difficult to comprehend that Allah duly emphasizes its possibility
with "Don't you know that Allah is capable of doing anything?" that the Quran text
is alive and Allah not only “can” but “does” change it whenever He wills both on
paper (and read only media like CD-ROM) and deep inside our brains to a better or
similar text that perhaps exhibits new (mathematical) miracles that are relevant to
each time or era while keeping it preserved at all times as promised in Quran 15:9
as no human, jinn, or angel would be ever aware of any change:
"‫ن‬ ُ ‫ن َنّزْلَنا ٱلّذْكَر َوِإّنا َل ۥَلُه َٰحِف‬

َ ‫ظو‬ ُ‫ح‬ْ ‫"ِإّنا َن‬
"It is We who have sent down the Message and it is We who guard it from
corruption.
It is difficult to believe that no one thus far has counted the number of verses, words
and letters in chapter The Key and didn’t instantly think of prime numbers! It could
be that previous text counts were not primes and only recently nearing the Hijri year
1433AH that Allah made it so with all copies of the Quran are updated instantly.
Finally, we can only ask Allah for forgiveness and seek His guidance to the Right
Path, the path of those who He bestowed His bounties upon, not those who He is
angry at, nor those who went astray.
