Abstract:

This paper utilized integrated technique of Aerial photo interpretation with GIS in
the estimation of artificial forest density areas in Mosul .
An economic, quick and accurate approach was achieved in using an integrated
approach of remote sensing and GIS for estimating Mosul's artificial forest stands
area density until the year 2003.
The come out results showed that using this method was accurate ,
economic and perfect in Producing the final map , and it is possible to
repeat the research on multi-temporal basis for achieving the best
evaluation about forest condition progress in this area .
