IDENTIFYING BASIC SENTENCE PATTERNS


DIRECTIONS : Identify the basic pattern of each sentence: S-V, S-V-DO, or S-V-SC. In S-V
sentences highlight the intransitive verb . In the S-V-DO sentences, highlight the direct object .
In the case of S-V-SC sentences, highlight the predicate nominative or the predicate
adjective .
