My name is Youngsim Seo. We have just practiced these
expression in Korean. Lets take a look in detail.

T: In Korean, there is no distinction of greetings by time. In on board one by one
other words, we just sayhello, no matter what time you
with explanation.

there are casual form, polite form and very polite form. I am

T: Next expression is 'Man-na-seo Ban-ga-wo-yo', which means
'Pleased to see you,' 'Nice to meet you.' Please repeat after me,
Man-na-seo Ban-ga-wo-yo.'
S: 'Man-na-seo Ban-ga-wo-yo.'
T: Now, I am going to ask your name. Let's have a look each word
first. 'Ireum' is 'name'. It is a noun. 'I' is subject marker which shows
'ireum' is the subject in the sentence. 'mo-ye-yo?' means 'what is'.
All together, 'Ireum-i mo-ye-yo?' is 'What is your name?' Please
repeat after me 'Ireum-i mo-ye-yo?'
S: 'Ireum-i mo-ye-yo?'
T: You might think where 'your' is. In this expression, 'Ireum-i moye-yo?', skipping 'your' sound natural. If you use 'your' in Korean in
this expression, it actually become aggressive like 'what the heck is
your name?' so don't use it. Please repeat after me 'Ireum-i mo-yeyo?'
S: 'Ireum-i mo-ye-yo?',
T: Now it is turn to answer the question. Let's have a look each
word first. 'je' means 'my' which indicate myself in humble way in
front of other person who older than me or not closed to me. You
know what 'Ireum' is, now. what is it?

T: 'eun' is topic marker. Quiet often, Topic marker is used as same
as subject marker. Nomally, Korean doesn't say 'you' if not
neccessary. In Korean language, subject can be skipped often, this
is the one of characters of the language. But you don't need to care
about these markers at this moment. I have said 'je- ireum-eun' up
to know. Please repeat after me 'je-ireum-eun'.
S: 'je-ireum-eun'.
T: (To one of students) What's your name?

T: 000-iyeyo. 'je-ireum-eun 000-iyeyo' (To the other student) What's
your name?
S: 000000
T: 'je-ireum-eun 000000-iyeyo'. You both are very good. Now i will
tell you a lot easier way to say your name. Just don't say 'je-ireumeun'. Actually, to not say 'je-ireum-eun' sounds a ot more natural. If
korean ask your name, just answer '000-iyeyo' '000000-iyeyo' like
you say 'i am 000' 'i am 000000' in English. Now I am going to ask
your name and please tell me your name in natural Korean
expression. 'Ireum-i mo-ye-yo?'
