Your Purpose on the NextUP Leadership team is an opportunity

for you to be involved in leadership training. We look
for students who are faithful, available, responsible
and committed to be used in various ministry
opportunities within the youth group at Ankeny
Baptist Church.
Why NextUP? To develop leadership on a studentlevel...an upperclassmen level. To Develop a leadership team that...

...by age, understands that they are NEXT up in leading this youth


group.

...is challenged to do hard things...wants to raise the bar.

...is involved in making youth group happen.

...learns by doing.

...are students of influence.

...takes ownership in their youth group.

...uses their God-given talents/abilities to serve God & others.

...leaves their time in youth group equipped and ready to influence

after their high school days are over.

speech, in conduct, in love,in faith, in purity.

Your FOCUS involves three main areas:

- Adopt a student - Once a month take a younger kid out


(done in partners)
- Once a month lead small group prayer during youth group
- Intentionally look to talk with younger teens before and after
youth group
- optional: initiate a Bible study with a younger teen
- optional: lead a jr. high activity once a semester
invest in our church:

- Involvement in a regular ministry outside of youth group

- Attend NextUp 90 leadership training meetings with Pastor
Jason (1 skip is allowed)
- involvement planning and leading NextUP
