your manager will be displayed on your secure Employee
Website. It is important that your private information be kept
confidential.
Your password must be a minimum of 8 characters,
and should start with a letter.

Employee Website
Access to basic employee data, assigned goals, performance reviews, and the
ability to submit employee self-assessments online is delivered through a
secure Employee Website. This capability helps to ensure performance
expectations are in alignment and that information and feedback is
accessible to all stakeholders.
What is the Employee Website Home Tab?
The Employee Website Home tab is the first tab that appears when you log
into the Employee Website. The Home tab allows you to view and modify your
contact information. By clicking the Edit link, you are able to update your
information. The Save or Cancel links allow you to discard or save changes.
When you update your contact information on the Employee Website, your
employee record in the Taleo Business Edition Perform system is
automatically updated for your manager.

What is the Employee Website Performance Tab?

The Employee Website Performance tab is comprised of three sections. The
first section displays the Employee Information section that is also visible
from the Employee Website Home tab. Additionally, a Reviews section and an
Employee Goals section are accessible from this tab.

What is contained in the Reviews section?

The Reviews section of the Performance page contains both active and
inactive (Past) performance reviews.
What is the difference between Active and Inactive Performance Reviews?
Active Reviews - If there is a performance review that is assigned to
you that is not yet complete, it will be identified as an Active review. If
the performance review requires a self-assessment, you can click the
drop-down arrow in the Employee Review Actions column to the
right of the performance review, and click the Edit link to conduct the
self-assessment.

Past Reviews Performance reviews that are in a Final state are

considered Inactive, and are sorted by the most recent performance
review based on the period end date. Past performance reviews are
locked, which means you are no longer able to edit the document.
You may toggle between active and past reviews by clicking the appropriate
tabbed list view.
What is an employee self-assessment?
The employee self-assessment allows you to rate yourself on assigned
competencies as well as assigned goals for a defined performance review
period. You are able to provide a self-assessment on an active performance
review once it has been assigned to you by the system, Administrator, or
manager. You will be notified via email when a new performance review is
assigned to you.
How do I conduct an employee self-assessment?
To conduct an employee self-assessment from the Employee Website:
1. Click the Performance tab. The Reviews table should default to your
Active Reviews.
2. Click the drop-down arrow to select the Edit option from the Employee
Review Actions column next to the performance review that has been
assigned to you.
3. The Review Data and Employee Data sections will auto-populate.
These sections are not editable by you.
4. The Competencies section displays all competencies assigned to you
for the active performance review period. You are able to rate yourself
on each competency sub-factor based on the rating scale provided.
Refer to your companys description for the rating scale used. After
selecting ratings for each of the sub-factors, the system will calculate a
competency rating.
5. If a particular competency sub-factor is not relevant, click the Not
Applicable icon (if available as a selection. You may be required by
your administrator to make a selection for all factors).
6. You may also record Employee Comments for each assigned
competency.

7. The Employee Goals section of the performance review displays all

goals assigned to you for the active performance review period. You are
able to rate each goal on the rating scale provided.
8. The Goals Summary section will automatically record a rating based on
the goal ratings you have chosen. You may also be required to provide
Employee Comments for each assigned goal.

If the Goals section of your performance review is blank, it is

because there are no goals assigned that are due during the
time period of the performance review start and end dates.

9. The Comments section at the bottom of the Performance Review

allows you to record general employee comments.
10.
There are two option used for the Review Sign Of: fields on the
page or the eSignature process. Based on your organizations
configuration you may not see the signature fields at this point in the
process.
11.
At any point during the self-assessment, you can click the Reset
button to remove your current rating selections and begin again.
12.
You may click Save at anytime to save changes as you go,
allowing you to come back at a later date or time to complete your selfassessment. Once your self-assessment has been saved, the ratings
are automatically calculated.
13.
At the top of your employee self-assessment form in the Review
Data section, the system automatically calculates the Employee
Rating field (although based on your configuration you may be
requested to select an option in this field). When you have finalized
your employee self-assessment, click Submit. This will notify your

review manager that you have completed your self-assessment. Once

submitted, you will no longer be able to make changes to your selfassessment.

How do I electronically sign my self-assessment?

If eSignature has been configured by your administrator, the following
directions will assist you in completing the action. After your manager has
completed your review and it has been approved, you will receive an email
directing you to log into the Employee Website to electronically sign your
performance review. When you click on the Performance tab in the Employee
Website you will see a red Sign Here flag next to your review.
1. Click on the eSign link.

2. You will see your completed Performance Review in PDF format. You can
zoom in if needed to review the entire document.
3. Click eSign Review at the top of the PDF.
4. Enter any final comments, and then enter your credentials.
5. Click eSign it!

The electronic signatures on the final PDF will look like this:

What are employee goals?

Employee goals are objectives, projects, or expectations assigned to you by
your manager with an associated due date.
The Employee Goals section of the Performance page contains a list of Active
Employee Goals and Past Employee Goals. You can toggle between Active
and Past Employee Goals by clicking the appropriate tabbed list view. The
Goals section allows you to view and monitor manager-assigned goals and
associated due dates.

Clicking the View link in the Employee Goal Actions column allows you to
view goal details and measurements, as well as view associated company or
manager goals, if aligned.

How do I update the progress of Employee Goals?

Employees can update their goals progress by clicking the Edit link from the
Employee Goal Actions column. Using the mouse drag the progress to the
right to increase the percentage complete. If the percentage complete is
changed to 100%, the Status field will automatically update to Completed
when the goal is saved. Conversely, if the Status field is updated to
Completed, the progress bar will increase to 100% when the Goal is saved.

the New Comment link and click Save. Any comments you add will be
visible when you are in the View screen of a goal. Additionally, any comments
you add will be visible to your manager from the Taleo Business Edition
Perform system.
