―IN MY HOUSE‖ THE ROSEWOOD CAFÉ

FEBRUARY 26, 2010

I WILL WALK WITHIN MY HOUSE IN THE INTEGRITY OF MY HEART.

Psalm 101:2b

PSALM 46:5
READ PSALM 25. Write it down. Speak it out loud. Personalize it using your own words.
 Say it to the Lord as a personal prayer and praise.
 What are the benefits of integrity and righteousness (verse 21 and 22)?
 Replace “Israel” with your name in verse 22. Amen, sister! Do you believe God can and will do this?

THE NAME ―EMMANUEL‖ MEANS ―GOD WITH US.‖ AS WE WALK WITHIN OUR HOMES, GOD IS WITH US AND WITHIN US.
WHERE IS THE LORD IN THESE VERSES, MANY OF WHICH WE’VE STUDIED IN THE PAST FEW WEEKS?

PSALM 136: 13-14 Has God brought you through the midst of an impossible situation? What was going through your mind as He
walked you the edge of your own Red Sea and said, “Go through it.” What would you have missed if you had gone around it
instead?

PSALM 136:16 Has God ever led you through a long, dry season?
 Read God’s words to the Israelites as they camped in the desert in Exodus 19:1-6.
 How did God carry them (verse 4)? Have you felt his protection?
 Where did He bring them (verse 4)? Did you feel closer to God during this time, or did you rebel against Him?
 What was the Israelites job during this time (verse 5)? Have you been obedient, or have you tried to make your own rules
and control the situation?
 What is God’s desired outcome (verse 6)? A kingdom of priests both rules and ministers. How do you rule, lead or influence
others for Christ? How do you serve others?

PSALM 137:1-2 We read this passage when we studied Psalm 101:1, “I will sing.” Read it in a translation other than the NIV. The
Israelites hung their harps on the weeping willow trees in the midst of their captivity. According to Psalm 46:5, where is the Lord
when we feel trapped?

PSALM 138 Wow, what a beautiful prayer!

 What does God do for us when we walk in the midst of trouble (verse 7)?
 Read verse 8 in the New American Standard Bible (you can do this at www.biblegateway.com). As women, mothers, wives
and daughters, we are definitely concerned with our homes. What does verse 8 say God will do with those things that
concern you? Compare this to Psalm 57:2 and Philippians 1:6.

PSALM 139 Get creative with this Psalm! Pick an activity -

 Draw pictures of all the places God is with you; draw God’s hand leading you and holding you (verse 10).
 Get moving! Sit down, rise up, lie down and go through all the motions in these verses. Feel the solidity of your chair or your
bed or the floor beneath you. God’s grip on you is just as secure.
 Close your eyes and envision yourself taking the wings of the dawn to the remotest part of the sea. Visualize the incredible
places described in this Psalm, always seeing God’s Spirit beside you.

WALK WITHIN YOUR HOUSE – LITERALLY. Pray for the people you interact with in each room. Resolve to walk
with integrity in each room, in each role, in each relationship.
