Limitthewhitespaceonthepage.Youcanusenarrowmarginsandheaderstomaximizethespaceonyour
resume.Everywordshouldserveapurpose.

appropriatetodemonstrateyourvalue.
Providespecificexamplesoftasksyoucompletedandhowyouexcelled.Thisismuchmoreinterestingthanthe
factthatyouwerepartofateam.Itexplainsindetailwhatexperienceyouhaveandhowyoucouldbring

achievementsthatdemonstrateandproveyouarequalifiedforaposition.
SimplylisteverySAPmodule,system,ortoolyou'veeverusedinanefforttoseemexperienced.Thisisnot
impressiveandactuallycomesofflikeyouhavelittleexperience.Instead,focusonwhereyouhaveexpertise
andhighlightitusingphraseslike'experiencedin'or'knowledgeablein'.Oftenresumeappearlikesomeonejust
navigatedthroughmenupath'sandjusttypedinthedescriptionsofconfiguration.It'simportanttodemonstrate
actualachievementsyou'vemade.
Indicateconfidentialinformationaboutprojectsandclients.Thiscanbetoughbecauseyoumightbereallyproud
thatyouworkedonaprojectatthelargestcompanyinacertainindustryoranupandcomingcompany,but
confidentiallyisimportanttothatclient,andthepersonreadingyourresume.Ifyousharetoomuchinformation,
therecruiterreadingyourresumemightbehesitanttoshareconfidentialinformationaboutthisnewpositionwith
you.
Listthingsonyourresumethatyouarenotcomfortablespeakingaboutorperformingifyougotthejob.For
example,ifyouwatchedademoorclickedthroughapresentationonatopic,youshouldnotindicatethattopic
asacompetencyonyourresume.Youwanttohighlightprojectaccomplishmentsandexpertskillsonyour
resumeandnoteverysingletopicthatyou'vereadaboutandtopicswhereyoujusthaveageneral
understanding.

onthepageshoulddotheimpressing,notyourcreativepaperselection.
Include'ReferencesAvailableUponRequest'atthebottomofyourresume.Itisassumedthatyouwillprovide
referenceswhenrequested.Thisisjustawasteofvaluablespace.
ProvidedaCVwhenaresumeisrequested.It'sgreattokeeptrackofeveryprojectinyourcareerinaCVforyour
referenceandsomerecruitersandinterviewersmayrequestaCVinadditiontoaresume.However,notewhich
documentisrequested.Usuallytheywilljustwanttoreviewyourresumefirsttoseeifyouhavetheright
experiencefortherole.Extremelylonganddetailedresumeswillhavetheoppositeeffectmostofitwon'teven
