Sept. 9, Wed.- JGA, JBA, & Jr. Youth will meet at Bowmansville Menn. at 7 p.m.
Sept. 12, Sat.- Reamstown Days 5K and Fun Walk/Run at 9 a.m., benefiting the
Acts of Love-Summer Lunch Program. A registration from can be downloaded from
our online church bulletin board, now located on our website
www.gehmanmennonitechurch.org under the "Resources" tab and labeled "Online
Church Bulletin Board".
Sept. 12, Sat.- Fairmount Homes will hold its 26th Benefit Auction(8 a.m. bidder
registration), Breakfast by Big Johns Catering(6:30 a.m.), Childrens Auction(1:45
p.m.), BBQ($7 ea. starting at 10 a.m., dinners or legs/thighs may be purchased

ahead of time and picked up at Wheat Ridge front desk), Childrens Activities
(Candy drop at 10:30 a.m.). Hundreds of items are available for auction, along with
items of special interest. A Quality Assurance Certified Angus steer will be
auctioned again this year. An Auction Day schedule, can be viewed online by
clicking the Auction and Barbecue link from the Fairmount website at

Sept. 12, Sat.-Annual Fellowship Day will be held at Landis Homes. This includes
benefit auction, children's activities, and chicken BBQ. The activities will be held
from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Home baked cookies are needed for the Landis Homes Chicken
BBQ. Sign up on the sheet in the narthex if willing to bake 4 dozen. Have them here
at church by noon Fri., Sept. 11.
Sept. 13, Sun.- 9 a.m.- Part of the Safe Church Training involves two educational
sessions led by LMC staff, for the congregation. One in the fall and one in the
winter. The first will be a combined Sunday School class in the auditorium for the
senior high youth through older adult classes. It will be recorded and made
available for those teaching younger classes or otherwise unable to be there.
Sept. 13, Sun.- Barry & Michelle Brubaker will be sharing as a part of the worship
service. Their family attends Bowmansville Mennonite Church, and they are sharing
a follow-up to their time of ministry with Youth With a Mission (YWAM).
Sept. 13, Sun.- Ice Cream Sundae Fundraiser, 4-7 p.m. at the church for Jared
Sauder and Lydia Eberly as they head to YWAM West Virginia.
Sept. 20, Sun.- A hymn sing led by Eddie Martin, East Earl, will be held in the
1855 Allegheny Mennonite Meetinghouse at 2 p.m. If you have a copy of the Zions

Sept. 26, Sat.- 12 p.m.-4 p.m. is the Brecknock Fall Festival. We need cookies and
people to man the station at the festival. There are sign up sheets in the back for you
to sign up and help. Thanks! The Outreach Committee
Sept. 29, Tues.- Lancaster MEDA Breakfast--Set in Stone: Integrating Faith and
Business with Jean Lengacher, at 7:30-8:45 a.m. at Bird-in-Hand Family
Restaurant. $15 per person, payable at the door. RSVP by Sept. 25 to MEDA at

-During our last members meeting, one topic that was discussed briefly had to do
with variety in our worship service structure. The ministry team would like to invite
you to a time of informally sharing ideas and suggestions related to our worship
services. This will be the focus of our next Ministry Team Meeting, Mon,
September 14, 6 p.m. You are invited to come and share how you sense God might
lead us to grow in this area. Or if you can't come, feel free to share your thoughts
either verbally or written with one of the ministry team (Pastor Phil, Pastor Glen,
Deacon Steve).

-As you know Tony and Ruthie Kulp, along with big brother Winston and the rest
of the Gehman congregation recently welcomed baby Addyson Paige. She
continues to do well and we thank God for His Grace. Due to some lost work time
etc. some additional expenses have accrued. We will be placing the box in the

narthex to give the Gehman Mennonite family the opportunity to assist them. We
plan to make the box available throughout September.

toddlers, during the Sunday School period, please talk to Shelby! Thanks!
-There will be a list in the narthex to sign up for the Greeter list. The sheet will be
there between church and Sunday School for those who want to be added or taken
off.
