will house The Edel Caregiver Institute


will have ample meeting space
available to anyone in the community.

Full Circle Grief and Loss

Full Circle bereavement programs are available to


anyone in the community who has suffered the loss
of a loved one. The staff of Full Circle offers one
on one counseling; various adult support groups;
children support groups; Camp Aloha overnight
Childrens Grief Camp, Grief Yoga , etc.

The Steward Center for Palliative Care

Palliative Care provides a specialized team approach


to addressing pain and symptoms from disease
This care is delivered at out-patient clinics located in
Memorial and Candler Hospitals
Ask your physician if a palliative care consult is right for
you

So, Who Is A Caregiver?

The legal definition of a caregiver is someone,


typically over age 18, who provides care for
another..

So, Who Is A Caregiver?

More often than not, a caregiver is usually a family


member who regularly looks after a child, or a sick,
elderly, or disabled person with no financial
compensation.

SO, Are You a Caregiver ???

If you provide physical, emotional and mental


support and care regardless of pay and
relationship to the individual ; if you take someone
to church, help get their groceries, run errands for
them, help them with housework or listen to their
troubles, then you are a caregiver.

in the world
those who have been caregivers
those who currently are caregivers
those who will be caregivers
and those who will need caregivers

What Does The Edel Caregiver Institute Offer?


The Caregiver Institute will offer informational and
instructional sessions to community/family
caregivers, such as:

Moving, bathing, and showering others


How to prepare nutritious meals
Home Safety
Care for the Caregiver

Caregiver Support Groups


Disease specific classes, information and support
Information on how to talk to your doctors
Dealing with money and legal matters
How to complete Medicare/Medicaid Forms
Dealing with grief

How Do I Access The Services of The Edel Caregiver


Institute?

Open in the Fall of 2015


A membership fee of $100.00 will pay for any and
all services offered
Scholarships will be available to those unable to
pay the membership fee
