TONIGHTS STARTING PITCHER: Coming off Southern League Pitcher of the Week
honors on Monday, 22-year-old RHP Adrian Houser makes his 7th Biloxi start and 20th
overall this season. The Locust Grove, OK native has won 4-straight starts 4th-including
last Sunday at MIS, lowering his ERA to 1.80 (7 ER/35.0 IP), 30 SO, 4 BB. To top it off,
he went 2-for-3 with a run and a double at the plate in Biloxis 4-3 win. Last week, Houser
went 2-0 in 2 starts and did not allow a run in 13 innings. Overall, he has not allowed a run
in his last 15.1 innings. 5 of the 9 runs allowed in his 6 starts have been in the 3rd inning.

SHUCKERS DOMINATE SL, YEAR-END AWARDS: The Southern League announced that Biloxi starting pitcher RHP Jorge Lopez the leagues Most Outstanding
Pitcher on Thursday as well as Carlos Subero, the leagues top manager.
MGM PARK BY THE NUMBERS: In 40 games at MGM Park, the Shuckers are
22-18 (.550) with 7 walk-off wins, 6 in extra-innings...have been 57 home runs (1.43
per game),18 by the Shuckers (0.45 per game). The ballpark opened on June 6 with
a 14-inning walk-off victory in front of 5,065 fans.
BY THE NUMBERS: 3 games remaining in the regular season and 2.5 games out of

BILOXI BASEBALL HISTORY: Pro baseball is not totally new to the Gulf Coast, but it is the first since 1908. The
Gulfport-Biloxi Sand Crabs of the Cotton States League played half a season in Biloxi during the summer of 1908.
Many Major League and som Minor League teams held spring traing in the area. Even the 1920 Milwaukee Brewers
of the American Association (direct descendant of the current Brewers) trained in Gulfport. See below.

continues in the major league Milwaukee Brewers, which took its name
from the 1902-1952 club.

Todays Start: 22-year-old Adrian Houser makes his seventh career start in the Milwaukee Brewers organization.
In 13 starts between High-A Lancaster and Double-A Corpus Cristi, Houser went 3-4 with a 4.98 ERA. Through 17 innings, the righty has not walked a batter and struck out 17 since joining the Shuckers.
Last Outing: Houser won his fifth straight decision in a 4-3 victory over the Mississippi Braves on August 30. In six
innings, the Oklahoma native shut out the Braves over six innings, while giving up three hits, walking one and striking
out four.
vs. Tennessee: Saturday will be Housers first career start against the Smokies.
2015: Acquired by the Brewers along with fellow Shuckers teammates OF Brett Phillips, LHP Josh Hader and OF
Domingo Santana (assigned to AAA Col Springs) from the Houston Astros on July 30th. The Corpus Christi contingent,
was dealt to the Brewers from Houston for OF Carlos Gomez and RHP Mike Fiers on July 30th.

- Earned the victory on July 28th after hurling 7.0 innings of 2-run ball. He retired 14 of the final 17 men he faced in what
was his best Double-A start.
- Houser went 1-2 with a 6.21 ERA in 7 games (5 starts) for the Hooks. The Locust Grove, OK, native opened the year
at High-A Lancaster, going 2-2 with a 4.35 ERA in 12 appearances (8 starts). In his last 4 California League outings,
Houser stood 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA while striking out 20 against 2 walks in 21.0 IP.

COACHING STAFF
Subero, 42, begins his second season in the Brewers organization as manager at the Double-A level. Subero led the Huntsville Managing Career
Team
Stars to a 77-63 record and a postseason berth last season.
GCL Rangers
Prior to joining the Brewers, Subero managed five seasons in
the Dodgers organization at Class-A Inland Empire (2009), Double-A Chattanooga (2010-12) and Class-A Rancho Cucamonga
(2013). He led the Lookouts to the playoffs in 2011 after clinching
the Southern Leagues second-half North Division title with a 4227 record after the All-Star break.
During his only season as a manager in the White Sox organization, Subero led Double-A
Birmingham to a 74-63 record and a Southern League playoff berth in 2008.
Subero began his coaching career in the Rangers organization, including two seasons as
hitting coach with the Rookie Gulf Coast League Rangers (1999-2000) and seven seasons
as manager with the GCL Rangers (2001-02), Class-A Clinton (2003-05) and Class-A Bakersfield (2006-07). His clubs reached the postseason in each of his three seasons with
Clinton. Subero owns an 980-1,002 (.494) record over 14 seasons as a minor-league manager.
