1)INTRODUCTION
In todays competitive world, manufacturers, distributors, retailers thus all stake holders
in FMCG supply chain are dependent on information to make correct decision and thus

they are in continuous lookout for newer technologies to address this challenging
situation. We require more analysis working on the analysis for the focus of data and
other things also so and other things also data how they are interact with customer. Are
there any stock-outs? Which product is lucrative? Which location within retail shop is
effective? Thus retail is an information-driven business.
In Pakistan, the situation becomes more challenging as there is limited and delayed data
available for decision makers to decide their future business steps. For Pakistani FMCGs,
there are two main challenges; 1) Data Availability or data acquisition and 2) Meaningful
data, i.e. filtered data from data analytics. In our research, we will focus the second
challenge and if time permits will work on the first and implement a complete IoT system
to practically deduce results.
Today analytics of the data is that is the data using historical data and also real time
analytics so here more easy on historical data and very difficult process on the real
time data so achieve the more prominent the results that here using the real time data
to the growth of business.
As a retailers that and so is the data very mixed up so here filter the data to give the
accurate the results

and other things also

effectively we are utilizing the data to benefit the customer and organization, i.e. how effective is
our data analytics. Also, Big Data is available in different formats so different Analytical tools
are required. With the help of different tools, very useful information and very meaningful
information can be deduced with no time for decision makers to take timely decisions. Now,
Live Dashboard are available for organizations to understand and timely address customer
demands.

b) Problem Statement
For Pakistani FMCGs, there are two main challenges; 1) Data
Availability or data acquisition and 2) Meaningful data, i.e. filtered data from data
analytics. In our research, we will focus the second challenge and if time permits will
work on the first and implement a complete IoT system to practically deduce results.

c) My Proposed Solution
I will compare different analytical tools, like, QlickView, IBM Cognos Insight, Tablaue,
SpagoBI and other tools that I we will find during our research, if time permits. I will
compare results from these different available tools. I will also work on Retail shops
Shelf data acquisition using IoT sensor based system and will input live data from retail
to the analytical tools to get the results.. Allows executives to see hot product inventory,
hot spots within a retail shop, supply chain efficiency and loss due to stock-outs, explore
the situation and take correct actions. Our Methodology will be both qualitative and
quantitative research with experimental, if time permits.
