1. SETUP WIRING
1.1) Connect the following to the rear of the Rapid Eye Unit
Power cable
USB keyboard/mouse
VGA cable
Crossover cable from PC LAN to (Rapid Eye Unit under test or Test fixture LAN).
TLS-4 Line 1 (or equivalent telephone line simulator), using a RJ-11 phone cable, to
BNC cable on
spot monitor
Test adaptor
Spot monitor output to NTSC monitor (BNC video input A) using RG59 BNC to BNC
cable.
Test adaptor block to alarm input, control output, relay, serial port 3 and 4 area.
Serial 1 & 2 test block to serial port 1 and 2
USB scanner on USB port

5. BIOS CONFIGURATION
Press the power switch on the rear of the unit and check BIOS
revision.
The BIOS version should read H.1.00, if 1.01 please power down
unit and go to Appendix A to downgrade otherwise press the
"Delete" key on the keyboard of PC to get into the bios setup.
Security menu
5.1 Enter the Standard CMOS Features by
pressing ENTER and use the Page
Down and Page down keys on keyboard
to change the date and time.
5.2 Use ESC key to exit Standard CMOS
Features screen and use the arrow keys
to select Load SetUp Deaults, type Y
and press the ENTER key.
5.3 Use the arrow keys to select the Set Supervisor Password
and press the ENTER key.
PROGRAMMING:
Use the Arrow keys to select the Save & Exit Setup menu
option.

7. MANUFACTURING MODE
7.1) While booting youll see the following display

say OK (except DHCP). If
you get a FAIL, please contact
Test Engineer.
7.2) Once the loading process is done and the prompt Press m key
to enter manufacturing mode shows, immediately type the m
key to enter manufacturing test mode (must be entered
within 5 seconds)
7.3) Type mfg (lower case) when prompted Manufacturing
login and press Enter.
7.4) Type q15919777 (lower case) when prompted Password
and press Enter.

8.4) Check that each video stream image have no defects such as
(fuzzy, blurry, too bright or dark, fading in and out,
lines going across, etc)
8.5) Left mouse click on Alarms tab located toward the bottom
right of GUI.
8.6) Right mouse click on Alarm table and click on Rearm All.
Note: Disregard if UAS unit (UAS unit does not have tab)
8.2) Right mouse click on any of the video images on the grid
and click on the show info box
8.3) Verify the name of each video image (example: Camera1,
Camera2, etc.)
Note # of Cameras depends on what model of unit (example: 4
channel unit will show 4 cameras only)

10.1) Using the PC: Left mouse double click on the RapidEye
Multi-Media View Icon and login as Administrator
with no password
10.2) Click on Maintenance tab:

11.5) Remove the cable from spot monitor output and connect
it to each camera output. Verify that camera image
shows on the VGA monitor with no defects and then

15.2) Verify you can see the local view login screen without the
remote maintenance (at least 10 second wait) as shown below
and power down UUT (Press the power button to turn off the unit).
