Prophecies You Can See Have Already Come

True
Let's start with the accuracy of Genesis 1-3

~ We still wear clothes.

~ Males still dominate females.
~ Childbirth is still painful.
~ Polygamy happens, but polyandry is rare.
~ Thorns and thistles are still a big problem for agriculture.
~ Work is still necessary.

Try to appreciate the courage of putting predictions on the public record for thousands of
years of scrutiny, of archaeology and science.
Bible prophecy is not secret religious mysteries for the initiated, nor vaguely worded
astrology, not about unimportant matters, not guarded and understated. It is not
'predictable' prediction, like a trend analysis.

Look a little closer at the implicit ideas accurately raised by Genesis...

~ Evil is permanent.
~ False prophecy is a lasting issue. It began with the Serpent's lies. It continued with
fraudulent scripture, like Enoch, then with false gospels against the promised Son and
Image of God. Even today's politics is dominated by The Bible vs The Koran.
~ The Bible has lasted the distance -- it is still relevant, still valued.

Prophecy predicts some of the facts of life we take for granted...

~ Another huge Flood has not yet happened, nor any disruption of seasons or daily
rotation.
~ The Ten commandments and Moses' justice system remain respected by other
nations, as claimed.
~ The Wisdom (=prophecy) of the Bible has indeed been despised by most people.

Prophecy predicts empire-wide politics and outcomes. Here is a progress report...

~ The Middle East is indeed a centre of religious hatred forever, between e.g. Ishmael
and Israel.
~ Egypt has never regained its prominence.
~ Babylon remains ruined.
~ Israel still exists as a nation.
~ Israel lives in Israel, as heir to Abraham's lands. They speak Hebrew, are
circumcised, have a unique nation. Islam, which claims Abraham, cannot claim these
things.
~ Philistines (Palestinians) still live within Israel as a torment to Israel. Jos_23:13
~ There is indeed a Jewish Dispersion, and there has been a Regathering also, as
written.
~ Jews have indeed been persecuted.

In general...

~ No prophecies have been disproven.

* The Dead Sea Scrolls have now been shown to predate Christ and the New Covenant
scriptures, inasmuch as they include no contemporary details beyond the BC Parthian
invasion.

~ That proves the Old Covenant prophecies of a New Covenant to be accurate to

subsequent history.
~ Christianity happened.
~ Christianity happened on time.
~ The dozen or so prophecies of a crucifixion came about.
~ So also the many details of self-sacrifice, and resurrection, and miracles, and
restoration. Virgin birth; in Bethlehem; buried in a rich tomb; and so on. I could detail
another page, full, but I want to concentrate on what you can see and maybe agree
with. Suffice to say that page three of the Bible predicts that a man born of woman will
overcome Satan and his power at the cost of his own life.
~ Death and persecutions followed the followers of Christ.
~ Christianity is permanent.

New Testament Prophecies which shape our life

~ The temple has indeed been destroyed.

~ The Gospel has indeed been preached to the Gentiles.
~ Mary is indeed still called most blessed of women.
~ Non-Christian Jews have indeed been cut out of the spiritual blessing for the
moment.
~ Christian miracles still follow the preaching of Christ.
~ A major anti-Christ prophet and false-teaching has since been revealed
(Muhammad's Koran) leading many astray.
~ Christ's return is long-delayed, as predicted.

There are many smaller prophecies, such as the other Mary's devotion being preached
everywhere, which are simply facts of life. For the student of history, there is a long list of
prophecies made early and fulfilled within the Old Testament era. The point is that you
can't simply get away with the old excuse: 'They must have been written afterwards'. Take
this to heart.

It is these downpayments which support faith.

Prophecy goes on to predict the demise of death and evil, and the resurrection, something
scientifically 'impossible'.
