At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

1. Listen to and discriminate similar and different sounds of the


English language.
2. Speak clearly by pronouncing words accurately and
speaking with the correct stress and intonation and sentence
rhythm.
3. Acquire word recognition and word attack skills to recognise
words on sight.
4. Ask questions politely to obtain information and clarification.
5. Listen to and enjoy the rhyme, rhythm, and sounds of
poetry, jazz chants and songs
