Technical Leader with progressive experience in new product development, technology transfer and improving operational
efficiency to meet strategic business initiatives. This includes expertise in integrating manufacturing facilities, leading,
planning and executing process improvements to improve yield, optimizing costs and ensure quality in order to enable
volume and revenue growth.
PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
Honeywell, Hopewell, VA
8/2011 to 7/2015
Technical Leader
Provide strategic leadership supporting the Sulfuric Acid and Ammonium Sulfate plants with annual production of 425,000
tons of Oleum and 1.6 million tons of Ammonium Sulfate, respectively.
Directly train and manage five Chemical Engineers focused on process design of equipment and continuous process
improvement.
Work closely with Production Plant Managers to optimize plant processes in order to enable volume and revenue growth.
Led team to improve sulfuric acid process by improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness from 92 to 97 percent implemented new heat exchanger design resulting in increase of sulfur conversion, increase steam output and unneeded
equipment. This increased plant steam production, reduced energy purchase by $250,000 per year and capital avoidance of
$4.4 million
Collaborated with Project Engineering on capital projects for the Sulfuric Acid and Ammonium Sulfate plant to ensure
proper design and equipment specifications leading to capital investments of $12 million and $6 million, respectively.
Directed technical team in regard to new analytical process technologies and implementation to understand key process
inputs.
Drive continuous improvement of plant manufacturing processes and systems through the evaluation of plant process
yields, material usage efficiency, cycle times, capacities and asset utilization.
Developed metrics and dashboards, enabling forecasting and financial/operational tracking.
Honeywell, Sunnyvale, CA
8/2008 to 8/2011
Transition Manager
Successfully drove the planning, development and implementation of operational strategies for the manufacturing
realignment of $18M thermal sensor manufacturing site from California to Japan with zero customer impact.
Provided strategic leadership and direction for cross-functional team of engineering, development of international sourcing
and supply chain and production associates to achieve launch dates for new product introduction.
Provided leadership for 30 cross functional team that consolidated two manufacturing sites into one. The $1M project
budget resulted in a $5M savings over the strategic period.
Directed the strategic analysis and development of a 5 year site strategic plan for an $18M/yr product line. Oversaw a
cross discipline team of finance, business management, and operations to analyze future paths which resulted with plan
consolidation and manufacturing realignment
Led the execution of all project phases including: engineering, system integration, procurement, and post-implementation
of operational improvements on time and within budget
Collaborated with finance to develop the financial and risk analysis that assisted in overall go/no go decision
