Questions
Quando se relatam perguntas no discurso indirecto, podem usar-se os verbos ask
(perguntar), want to know (querer saber), wonder (interrogar-se), not know (no saber).
Where's my bike?
He asked us/ wanted to know/ wondered/ didn't know where his bike was.
As frases interrogativas indirectas, cuja resposta seria yes/no, comeam com if ou wether.
Are you hungry?
She wanted to know if/wether we were hungry.
As alteraes nos tempos verbais so idnticas nas frases afirmativas e interrogativas.
SAY/TELL
These verbs are often confused. Learn the rule:
He said me that he was fine. (Say does not take an indirect object.)
He told me he was fine. (Tell takes an indirect object.)
