Thank you for your Request for Proposal for services of Delinquent Tax Attorney. Pursuant to your

O u r l a w f i r m h a s r e p r e s e n t e dt a x i n g j u r i s d i c t i o n s i n D e n t o n C o u n t y s i n c e 1 9 7 9 . W e h a v e r e p r e s e n t e dt h e
County since 1985. We believe that we have provided the highest quality of serviceto both our clients and
taxpayers that has enabled the County and our other clients to collect taxes in an efficient and productive
manner.

The information following this letter is a detailed description of our delinquent property tax collection
program. The program presented in this Proposal is fully implemented and is very successful. This is
proven by the fact that we collected 74.64"h of the 2002 County taxes that were turned over to us for
collection on July 1,2003, in the first year following the turnover, while at the same time reducing the
2 0 0 2 a n d p r i o r d e l i n q u e n t t a x r o l l b y 4 9 . 6 7 % . A l s o w e h a v e c o l l e c t e d 7 3 . 3 7 o / oo f t h e 2 0 0 3 C o u n t y t a x e s
that were turned over to us for collection on July 1,2004, in only nine months, while at the same time
r e d u c i n g t h e 2 0 0 3 a n d p r i o r d e l i n q u e n tt a x r o l l b y 5 3 . 7 0 % .

T h e C i t y h a s s e t a s t a n d a r dc o l l e c t i o n r e q u i r e m e n to f n o t l e s s t h a t s i x t y p e r c e n t ( 6 0 % ) o f t h e t o t a l d o l l a r
value of the adjusted base tax of each delinquent tax year subject to the contract while at the same time
reducing the cumulative delinquent tax roll by not less than thirty percent (30%), together with a penalty
o f T e n T h o u s a n d D o l l a r s ( $ 1 0 , 0 0 0 ) t o b e i m p o s e d b y t h e C i t y i n t h e e v e n t t h e s e g o a l s a r e n o t r e a c h e d .W e
a r e s o c o n f i d e n t i n t h e s u c c e s so f o u r p r o g r a m t h a t w e g u a r a n t e e a s e v e n t y - f i v e p e r c e n t ( 7 5 0 ) c o l l e c t i o n
goal for the current year taxes and a fifty percent (50%) reduction goal for the cumulative delinquent
tax roll each year with a Ten Thousand Dollar ($10,000) penalty in the event these goals are not
reached.
