Scope of Supply of ABB PT U.O. ADDA.

It is limited to the live contacts of the switchgear and to the metal enclosures,
housing the cable socket (female connector).

Scope of Supply of the cable supplier.

SF6

Cable socket (female connector) to be installed inside the metal enclosure

(cable terminal housing). The purchaser can deliver cable socket to ABB PT
U.O. ADDA for it installation and testing.
Cable Plug (male connector) will be inserted on site.

Scope of Supply of the manufacturer of cables.

Power cable and plug terminal (male connector) headed on the power cable.

OPERATION WITHOUT CABLES

For continuous operation without cable a cable dummy is required (supplied by
cable manufacturer).
For performing tests without plugged-in cables and without any cable dummy,
the sockets (female) have to be closed with transport covers and filled with SF6
at filling pressure.

CABLE TERMINAL HOUSING SEGREGATION

Cable enclosure is always transported apart respect to module itself
because of transportation problems due to module height.

Without GAS COMPARTMENT between cable and

module, the module will be open on site to install cable enclosure

and then will be necessary to make gas treatment and filling up with
SF6 gas of both module & cable enclosure

With GAS COMPARTMENT between cable and

module, module will arrive on site pre-tested and with slight SF6
gas pressure inside: the module will NOT be open on site to
install cable enclosure and then will be necessary to make gas
treatment and filling up with SF6 gas ONLY on cable enclosure

a special joint while the module is
isolated. This joint is necessary to avoid
the polarization of compartment disc.
