Astrology is a science of the Universe. This
amazing Universe has millions and trillions of stars, the secret of which is beyond
the comprehension of human mind. Absolute Intelligence has been there behind
the making of the universe. The law of nature has been working behind all the
living and non-living things. The life of living entity or "Jeeva" is made of five
elements or "Panchbhoota" which include fire, water, air, earth and space.
Whenever there is imbalance of any of these elements, the living entity or even
the Earth’s life is shaken. The Nature has given a unique defence system to the
li ving beings, which protects them from ill
health. We are more healthy and happy when we are in harmony with the Nature
or the Almighty.
The Universe is an unlimited phenomenon and it needs to be researched.
However our Earth comes under the Solar system and the Sun being
magnetically more powerful is the focal point of this system. All planets revolve
around their lord the Sun. We the human beings have the higher intelligence in
comparison to other animals. The questions, which arise in one's mind are, who
are we? From where we have come and why everyone thinks, speaks and acts
differently. Why there are few who are rich, talented and intelligent and why there
are some who are poor, weak and less intelligent? The life of human beings also
come under the Sol ar system consisting of the Sun as star and Mercury, Venus,
Mars, Jupiter, Saturn. Uranus, Pluto and Neptune as planets. Moon, which is a
satellite of the Earth, has got an important place since it is nearer to the Earth
and has its instant influence on the living things. Our Solar system is just a
part of the Universe, which consists of many other systems still unknown to the
Human mind. In our constellation there are twelve signs of the Zodiac. These are
called Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius,
Capricorn, Aquarius and Pieces. Like the Zodiac, we have twelve houses in our
horoscopes.

The first house is called the Ascendant or
Lagna.This is the house of the native's
personality, his health and temperament, his physical build up and appearance.
From this house the native's mind, his manners and the
outward behaviour is judged. To know about the native's inherent strength, we

have also to see the degree of the lagna. Through this method we can judge how
much energetic and active the native will be. The Lagna becomes powerful if
any planet occupies this house.
The second house is Dhana or the house of Wealth
and possessions of all kinds. The native's attitude
towards the wealth and how he will acquire it is assessed from this house. If any
planet occupies this house the native will have the attributes, attitude and
influence of that planet towards wealth. A man gets technical job if the second
house lord is aspected by Mars or Saturn. The combination of Mars and Saturn
when aspected by Jupiter produces good doctors.
The third house is called the Prakrama or the
house of strength, effort and hard work. Through
this house we can judge whether the native will gain power from his brothers,
sisters and
relatives or whether he will become powerful through his own endeavors?

Whether he will be able to communicate with his family, fellows and people. How
will be his life during school days? Will he excel in sports? All these factors are
also assessed from this house.
The fourth house is called the Sukha Bhav or the
House of Comforts. As a child the native's
comforts start from his mother that is why the house is also called the Matra
sthana or the Mother's House. This also depicts native's chances of getting land,
properties and houses in his life. This is also called the house of Popularity and
depicts the masses love and support towards the native. His broadmindedness is
also judged from this house. The house has a direct bearing on the tenth house,
which is the house of Father or Pitra Sthana.
The fifth house is called the Suta Bhav or the
House of Children. It also denotes intelligence,

creativity, pleasure, love affairs and instinct to play games, gambling or even to
speculate in the stock market. A planet in this house either makes or breaks a
person according to its nature. The house is also known as Prarabadh
Sthana.Thus the native's actions of past life are also judged from this house. If
the first house lord is placed in the eighth or tweleveth, the native gets the
government job.
The sixth house is Shatru Sthana or the house of
enemies. The house also tells the native's state of
health and diseases. It also depicts native's relations with his maternal uncle and
aunt and his attitude towards his servants and subordinates.
The seventh house is Jaya Bhav or the house of
Spouse and relates to native's marriage and his
wife. This house also shows the native's close
relations with his business partner and whether that he would be successful in
joint partnership.
The Eighth house is Mrityu Bhav or the house of
Death. It also a person the village or the
state's head, doctor and even a surgeon if aspected by the Mars. Mars is capable
to make the native a warrior, soldier, scientist and even an administrator when
posited in good house.
A native’s horoscope can be interpreted by going through its strength and
strength of it can be judged from the placing of various planets in different
houses, their aspects and exaltati on of planets. The strength of a horoscope is
further gauged by the method of Yogas, Dasha and Gochar.Yogas depict the
basic strength of a horoscope. More Yogas means a powerful horoscope. Again
for gaining success a person should have the capability and for judging a native
capacity to achieve a goal his Dasha of a particular planet plays a vital role. So
we have to see under which Mahadasa or Antradasa the native is going through.
However timing of a
particular task is much important because if a
right opportunity is not present, one is unable to
achieve success. For this we go through the Gochar dasa, which is applied, on
the horoscope and the chances of the native’s achieving that particular goal are
predicted.

Sun when placed in the first house
makes a person dominating. He will be benevolent in donating things. The native

will
also be a good talker and he can easily influence others. The Sun in the Aries
becomes exalted and
if it is in the first house the native's personality will be magnificent. He will be very
wise and behaves like a King. He will be sturdy and well built and is able to
radiant his energy upon others through physical and mental powers. His children
will be loyal towards him. The Sun in Leo in this house makes a person selfish in
nature however if it is placed with good planet like Jupiter or Mercury or aspected
by the beneficiary, the native will have a prominent place in his family and the
society.
The Sun in Libra becomes debilitated. In such a position the native turns fiery in
nature and he can harm others. He will have problems with his children. The Sun
largely affects people during rainy season when it emits lesser rays to living
beings. The combination of Sun and Mars confuses a person even if his Moon is
good. He
may also get problems of heart, eyes, bones and ailments of skin.
The Sun in the Second House: The Sun here makes the native concentrating his
energy towards financial matters. If exalted the native will acquire wealth through
his own efforts and will be benevolent in distributing the wealth. He will gain
money from litigation and court cases and even from his enemies. However
when debilitated, there will be problems in acquiring wealth and he may face
financial losses. The Sun here becomes separative and the native may leave his

The Sun in the Fifth House: The Sun in the fifth house creates impediment in the
delivery or the birth of children. The native may have a single child if not
aspected by any beneficiary planet. He may not have a happy childhood.
However, it
also gives enjoyment to the native in artistic fields and in sports. He may also
excel in acting and dramas especially the native is of Scorpio ascendant.
The Sun in the Sixth House: The Sun here makes
the native healthy and disciplined. He will be wise, intellectual and a good
donator. If the Sun
is exalted the native will be a good organizer and may head an opposition party.
He will be able to defeat his enemies. However if aspected by a malefic planet
the native will have weak eyes. He may prove to be a bad boss in his

The Sun in the Seventh House: The Sun’s placing in this house makes the
native's wife active and hard worker. She supports her husband in every sphere
of life and the partnership of the two will be a success. The Sun here is also
excellent for having business partnership. However if the Sun
is afflicted, the native should give more care to his business matters. This may
also cause problems in married life.
The Sun in the Eighth House: The Sun in this house makes the native well aware
of his death and he dies a natural death. However afflicted Sun may cause the
native's death with burning. He has to face severa l diseases in life. He can
sacrifice himself for a genuine cause. He will have interest in classical readings
like philosophy and mysticism. He will have a healthy attitude towards death.
The Sun in the Ninth House: The Sun here makes a person believer in one God.

The Sun in the Tenth House: The Sun in the Karma Sthana makes the native self
reliant, talented and elevates his position. If the planet is exalted the native can
become a head of an organization, can be a minister or the head of the state.
However, he may have to go out of his home for work. He will have an interest in
music and dance. He can also prove to be a good actor, as he will have the
sense of dramatizing the things.
The Sun in the Eleventh House: The native will be successful in his ventures and
he will gain income from a fixed source. He will become rich through his own
efforts. He will have higher contacts and will be popular in societies. People will
believe him and will be ready to have partnership with him.
The Sun in the Tweleveth House: The Sun here makes the native adulterous
wicked and miser. He will spend his money after a great thought. He will have
interest in medical subjects and pursue this career. He will settle abroad and will

The Sun in Taurus: Here the native will enjoy huge financial gains .He will strive
for learning and will get recognition in the society due to his
hard work. He will also enjoy fame. Since the Sun will acquire the characteristics
of the Venus, the native will be obstinate and will have the tendency to serve
others. The Sun being in inimical sign generates separative tendencies in family.
He can leave or go out of home for service or other matters. The person will like

have lively attitude towards marriage. The native’s wife will be very aggressive
but will be helpful in executing her husband’s tasks.
Mars in the Eighth House: A person becomes
strongly sexed when Mars is placed in the eighth house. He may have surgery or
fall from higher places or meet some accident during the main or sub-period of
the planet.
Mars in the Ninth House: When Mars occupies the
ninth house it makes the native intellectually vibrant and he likes tours and
travels. He is adventurous and may take interest in sports.
Mars in the Tenth House: In the tenth house Mars elevates the position of the
native. He becomes ambitious and tries his best to reach the top. He

go for professions like military, police or ordinance factory.
Mars in the Eleventh House: The native is able to make friends easily but loses
