Abstract

The main of this research to identify the activities in the modern time in UK retail
industry. The research explores the activities of the CSR and trys to find out the
way the company reports its CSR activities and the main area of importance in the
CSR. The research is a qualitative research and uses the case study analysis as the
methodology for the research. The data collection is done by visiting the
companys website and by analysing their annual reports or the dedicated CSR
reports where they report about their CSR activities. The findings which have been
brought by this research brings out that the UK retail industry have given relative
importance to the CSR and the companys engage in the CSR activities time to
time. The UK retail industry CSR is dominant by the environmental issues as seen
in every CSR report of the companys. The research also supports the previous
study that the company are now more aware about their responsibility towards the
social and environmental. The company mainly reports in the four sets that is
environmental, market place, work place and community. The paper than
concludes with some general issues related to these factors and tell about the trends
of activities in todays CSR in the UK retail companies.
