Worldwide,
part
of
Omnicom
Group
(NYSE:

today
announced
the
appointment
of
David
Tang
as
the
agencys
new
Chief
Executive
Officer
in
Asia,
effective
October
1,
2015.
In
his
role,
Tang
will
be
responsible
for
managing
DDB
offices
in
Southeast
Asia,
Greater
China,
Japan,
and
Korea.
He
will
report
directly
to
Chuck
Brymer,
Chief
Executive
Officer
of
DDB
Worldwide.
Tang
is
replacing
John
Zeigler,
who
after
29
successful
years
at
DDB
and
11
years
at
the
helm
of
DDB
Group
Asia
Pacific,
is
retiring
from
the
agency
and
will
become
Chairman
Emeritus,
DDB
Asia
Pacific.
Currently,
Tang
serves
as
Chief
Executive
Officer
of
DDB
Singapore
and
Vice
Chairman
of
DDB
Asia
and
has
been
with
the
agency
for
17
years.
Tang
will
continue
to
be
based
in
Singapore
to
serve
his
new
role.
As
part
of
the
new
management
team,
Tang
will
be
assisted
by
Jeff
Cheong,
Head
of
Digital
at
DDB
Asia,
and
Richard
Tan,
Vice
Chairman
at
DDB
Greater
China,
leading
the
drive
for
digital
creativity
across
the
region.
Brymer

John
has
been
a

to

growth
in
terms
of
our

our

and
our

1998,
Tang
joined
DDB
Singapore
as
Vice
President
and
was
promoted
to
President
and
Chief
Executive
Officer
in
2004.
In
2013,
Tang
was
appointed
Vice
Chairman
of
DDB
Group
Asia.
Last
October,
Tang
was
ranked
as
the
#2
Most
Admired
Agency
Leader
in
the
region
in
Campaign
Asia-Pacific.
In
2011,
The
Internationalist
named
David
Tang
one
of
30
agency
innovators
globally.
Campaign
Asia-Pacific
awarded
him
the
Agency
Head
of
the
Year
for
Southeast
Asia.
In
the
same
year,
the
Singapore
Institute
of
Advertising
presented
Tang
with
the
Lifetime
Achievement
Award
at
the
Hall
of
Fame,
for
his
outstanding
contributions
to
the
Singapore
advertising
industry.
In
addition,
Tang
was
twice-awarded
Advertising
Professional
of
the
Year
(by
Marketing
magazine
in
2009,
and
the
Singapore
Institute
of
Advertising
in
2007).
He
has
also
been
credited
with
leading
the
effectiveness
drive
with
the
Effies
Singapore
Awards.
DDBs
offices
in
Australia,
New
Zealand,
and
India
will
report
directly
to
Brymer.
