Job Description Dakshana JEE Faculty

We are looking for young engineering graduates of premier institutes who are passionate about teaching and wish to make a
difference in society.
About Dakshana: The Dakshana Foundation is a philanthropic organization, established in 2005, focused on alleviating
poverty. Education is the most powerful and enduring weapon to win the battle against poverty. Thus Dakshana is focused
on providing world-class educational opportunities to economically and socially disadvantaged gifted children worldwide.
We select under-privileged students from all over the country, through a selection test, and then help them prepare for JEE
Mains and Advanced free of cost at our COEs (Centres of Excellence).
Our locations are Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Bundi (Rajasthan), Lucknow, Kottayam (Kerala) and Silvassa. All our COEs are
located in rural areas and are mostly Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, a chain of schools run by the Ministry of HRD,

Job Description:
Responsibilities of Faculty include imparting curriculum in the subject of expertise on a day to day basis; Participation in
curriculum preparation, planning of course delivery, conduct academic evaluation, planning team activities, accompanying
students for examinations; Making the lesson plan engaging and enjoyable for scholars; Recording individual classroom
observations and prepare feedback/assessment reports; Planning, conduction, and evaluation of regular assessment tests;
Provide academic and emotional support to scholars on an individual basis to develop learning and understanding.
Faculty should also be able to motivate scholars to excel at the JEE; Seek to understand unique attributes and abilities of
students and be able to deal with a wide variety of personality types; Keep abreast of the latest developments in the pattern
of the IIT JEE and adapt to changes in delivery of the curriculum; Help scholars through informed discussions on career
choices available to them based on their personalities.
Currently, all our Faculty members are from IITs and NITs. We train our faculty for up to one year before they are assigned a
batch at the COEs, where they start teaching Dakshana scholars. Faculty are paid a reasonable remuneration during the
training period.
Skills: Should have passion for teaching; should have the ability to learn, plan, multi-task and adapt to changing priorities,
and co-ordinate complex workloads; must be extremely professional, reliable, diligent and punctual, have a high level of
personal integrity; Good verbal and writing skills in English and Hindi.
Eligibility: Candidate must have IIT JEE or AIEEE AIR (All India Rank) under 10,000 (GEN) with CGPA/CPI till date above 7.0.
Positions are open for all the departments.
Designation: Dakshana JEE Faculty.
Compensation: 7.2 lpa. Performances based hikes.
Selection Process: Selection process includes Resume-based-shortlisting, Skype/ Telephonic Interview, Demo-lecture and
Personal Interview in Pune.
