Intercede with Us for the Muslim World!

[God] is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and
everything else..For in him we live and move and have our being. (Acts 17:25, 28a, NIV).
Let's pray that those who seek to earn favor with God would see this truth and know that their lifeeternal lifeis in Him!

Today's Prayer Requests: From Students, Alumni, and Missionaries

BURKINA FASO: Thank God for peace in Burkina Faso after an attempted coup this past week that could have led
to much bloodshed. This has now been resolved and the Interim President reinstated.
Please pray for believers in Burkina Faso as they reach out to Muslims around them. A student explains that most
extended families include both Christian and Muslim members. Neighborhoods are integrated; Christians, Muslims,
and animists live side by side. This gives believers wonderful opportunities, and most Muslims who come to Christ
come because of their quiet daily witness. Still, some Christians hesitate to become involved. Pray that the Spirit
would gently lead them to build friendships, participate in their neighbors' lives, and demonstrate Jesus' love to them.
SIERRA LEONE: (1) A student asks for prayer for the churches in this country, as Islam is gaining more influence in
government, education, and other realms. Pray that pastors and churches will stand strong and firm. He reports that,
during the Ebola crisis, many Muslims observed and sought the care given by churches and believers. Many have
remained in the churches and are growing in their faith; pray they will continue. (2) Pray for a Muslim family that is
seeking the Lord and desires to serve Him and the church, but who fear opposition from extended family members.
May the Lord give them courage, wisdom, and a testimony that will attract the others to Jesus.

In the News
Please continue to intercede for Irano-American Pastor Saeed Abedini, imprisoned for 3 years in Iran. This past
weekend his wife, Naghmeh Abedini, spoke before 100+ Parliamentarians at the 70 th Session of the General Assembly
of the United Nations. A letter to the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament was drafted, calling for the release of Pastor
Saeed, and 67 Parliamentarians signed it. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani is also at these meetings; pray that the
Lord will touch his heart. Pastor Saeed began his 8-year sentence on September 26, 2012, and has been told that his
sentence will be prolonged unless he agrees to return to Islam. Pray that his faithfulness would continue to be a
powerful witness, and for his health and release. For the story, see http://bit.ly/1MpPtWk.

From Global Initiative*

Pray for Christian workers who are studying Muslim languages in order to share Christ. Pray that they would quickly
gain fluency as well as cultural understanding and sensitivity. Pray for those workers studying under Muslim
teachers, that their lives and attitudes will touch their teachers.

For Muslim Women**

Pray especially for the worlds elderly Muslim womenthat they will meet Jesus in dreams and visions, and that
they will believe. A WAAST student who comes from a Muslim family recounted this week that his mother accepted
Jesus before she passed away, about a year ago. Praise the Lord for His patience and mercy!
