POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title - Assistant Account Manager Landscape Maintenance Division


Premier Landscape Contractors, Inc. is a full service design/build/maintenance landscape
contractor. Our service area encompasses Chicago and its Northern and Western Suburbs.
Premiers primary mission is to provide the highest level of design, construction, and
maintenance services. This combination has resulted in a stable, growth driven environment that
allows Premier to remain competitive and provide its clients with the high quality service they
require.
Premier seeks to fill the following position: Assistant Account Manager Landscape
Maintenance Division
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Quality Control: Regular Site Inspections and professional prepared Progress Reports
with custom transmittal letter.
2. Job Organization: Overseeing preparation of Production and Shipping Tickets,
Customer and Job Information, Site Detail Sheets, Site Maps and all necessary graphic
instructions or photographic records for each account site.
3. Retention Program: Assist in coordinating with LMD sales team.
4. New Sales: Gain Referrals from high value clients. Assist in sales initiatives throughout
the year as needed. Site analysis (including accurate measuring and sketching of the site)
and estimating (matching clients needs with our products and services. Then preparing
recommendations and planning sales presentations.
5. Communications: Both written and verbal as required to pass on client sensitivities and
instructions to production and management.
6. Documentation: Preparation of daily log sheet, weekly activity sheets, correspondence
and communication with the client. Keep customer files organized fashion. Prepare
renewal contracts, new contracts and the proper paperwork necessary to sell a job.
7. Field Supervision: Will take ownership as job skills develop.
8. Professional Development: Reading of five to six key trade publications per month,
three to four books on horticultural and agri-business subjects yearly, attending trade
shows/seminars yearly and participation/attendance in professional organizations.
9. Maintenance of Professional Library.
10. Participation: In awards program entries including photography, organization and writeups. Promoting the winter thin and prune service line as well as other secondary lines.
Activate in the Snow Program as defined by management.
11. Occasionally acquiring specialty type materials needed on LMD jobs.

12. Problems: Keep management informed of any and all problems, actual or potential. Seek
guidance and direction as necessary for performance of duties.
13. Respect: Confidentiality of company, customer and personnel information.
14. Cooperation: Maintain as such which is appropriate for the position and situation.
15. Tasks and Special Projects: Complete as requested by management.
Applicants must be highly motivated, organized, detail oriented, willing to work in a team
environment, and have a minimum of a 4 -year industry specific degree.

Landscape Architecture Intern
Entry Level Landscape Architect
An ideal candidate will display the following skill set, based on years of experience:
Good working knowledge of site analysis, master planning, design development, and
construction detailing
Be a driven professional, highly organized, with good time management skills
Work in a fast-paced, team oriented environment
Possess excellent presentation skills, planting & construction knowledge, hand/digital
graphics, and written/verbal communication skills
Proficiency with graphic programs: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft
Office
Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited
program
Possess valid drivers license
