This is my second time of doing practicum as a trainee teacher in SJKC Pei
Yang, Bakri, Muar, Johor. Not sure this time would be very much different with the last experience which i just had to teach one month with major subject. This time I will be allowed to teach and carry the role as a teacher literally for the next two months and I will be teaching both major and minor. This would also be my second time of entering classroom to teach and having the chance to interact with students. This is what as it called practicum for each and everyone of us, another chance for us to practice teaching in real situation. This is definitely another new fresh experience for me, hopefully my second practicum could be done successfully under guidance of my lecturer Puan Yee Bee Choo and all experienced teachers in SJKC Pei Yang. Before we going for our practicum, the authority of IPG Tun Hussien Onn had given all of us an overview of this practicum. Those things we have to notice and also what we have to learn from this valuable experience. Throughtout the whole talk we have had a clearer picture on mind about the practicum for this time and also clear about all dos and donts during our practicum. I am hoping to get to know more about the real classroom situation and get to discover more about students misbehaviour that most probably or most common exist in class. I think this would be a great chance as a trial for me to try tackle all these problems with all the theories I have learnt. I am also looking forward to learn from the experienced teachers and hopefully could cooperate well with staff in SJKC Pei Yang.
Personally i think, I am still a beginner in this field, time management as well
as classroom management would be the biggest challenge for me. However, what makes me worried the most is my own creativity in creating and conducting teaching and learning activities for students. I am worried that i might be lacking of ideas. I hope I would learn more from experienced teachers or trainee teachers and i hope i will be able to tackle all these challenges with the help of those classroom management theories i have studied all this while and with the useful advices i got from people and internet. I also hope to establish positive relationships with teachers, students as well as the staffs in SJKC Pei Yang. I also hoping to got chances to involve in outdoor activities carry out in the school, I hope will learn more for every aspect and widen my prespective of all. Hopefully my second practicum could be done successfully under guidance of my lecturer Puan Yee Bee Choo and all experienced teachers in SJKC Pei Yang. Last but not least, i hope this invaluable experience i get from my second practicum will be useful for my future teaching.
