RE: Scholarships for Low- and Middle-Income Country Interns at WHO-Headquarters

We are writing to inform you of a scholarship opportunity for exceptional candidates from low-
and middle-income countries who are accepted for an internship at the Headquarters of the
World Health Organization (WHO-HQ) in Geneva, Switzerland for the Winter 2015/16 cycle.

Please note, this scholarship opportunity is not related to the internship selection process at
WHO; candidates will be required to complete both application processes separately.

Data shows approximately 25% of interns at WHO-HQ are from low- and middle- income
countries.1 This scholarship opportunity forms part of a wider project to facilitate greater LMIC
candidate access to costly global health training opportunities.

The financial support will cover interns travel, living, and accommodation costs sufficient for a
3-month internship at WHO-HQ in Geneva. As part of their funding, supported candidates will
be required to participate in a documentary being filmed on global health training.

You can find more information on the scholarship application here:

The online application period for the WHO winter internship cycle runs from August 1 -
September 30 2015. For details on the WHO Internship programme see here:
