COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This is three-unt course which gives a clear perspective on the concept
and principle of the State and government which are the fundamentals of
political science sphere. Emphasis is given on the relevance of these concept
to the Philippines State and its government through the study of the
Philippine Constitution.

4. Important of a constitution in a government

GENERAL OBJECTIVES OF THE SOCIAL SCIENCE AREA:

At the end of the semester, the student should be able to;

1. Reflect critically on the totality human experience, understanding and


apprepiate the beautiful and the good and to learn from the lesson of
the past.
2. Become aware of the social science problems and issues and
recommended some possible solutions to the said problems and
issues.
3. Enhance the awareness of the student of the importance of scientific
approaches in the discussion and analysis of social issues and to
conduct research study on the specific are of interest in social science.
4. Formulate for them a humane perspective that integrates all branches
of the social science in a profound understanding of the individual as
well as society.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE:


1. Acquire basic knowledge and understanding on the study of the state
and government.
2. Identify the nature and form of government and state.
3. Gain knowledge the different provision in the Philippine Institution.
4. Develop understanding on the importance of a constitution in a
government.
