INTRODUCTION

The project titled Reservation: Gujjars Issue in Rajasthan has been divided into five sections of
research. The project basically deals with the reservation issues in India. Reservation, being a
critical and sensitive issue in India, has many a times shaped direction of Indian political
scenario. This work of piece gives us an idea as to why the problem of reservation started, what
was aim at the initial stage and now where it has gone. And the last leg of the project concludes
the whole the topic by discussing ground level reality of various communities fighting for
reservation with the main focus on Gujjars.
This project puts forth a thesis then builds some argument for both the sides and comes up with
anti- thesis. At last concludes with new issues being based on thesis and anti- thesis; hence,
coming out of synthesis.
HYPOTHESIS
The conflict over reservations in India is not simply a conflict about the policy itself. There are,
