Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences (FOPS) under the flagship of Jodhpur National University was
started in 2003 with the aim to achieve excellence in the field of Pharmacy through quality education.
Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences was the first pharmacy college in Western Rajasthan and is
approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
The objective of the college is to provide quality, value based and affordable education to those who
have the zeal for knowledge.
College offers Diploma, Bachelors, Masters degree and Doctorate
(Ph.D.) courses in Pharmaceutical Sciences. More information

Pharmacy profession deals with the identification, selection, screening, manufacturing,
standardization, preservation, compounding and dispensing drug and medicinal substances. FOPS
provides below listed facilities on payment basis:

Analysis of samples as per I.P., B.P., U.S.P., and F.P.O. using: GC, HPLC, UV, IR and all types of
chemical analysis.
Consultancy for formulation development, product design, product development and labelling,
packaging design etc.
Animal activity of anti-diabetic, analgesic, anti-convulsent, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, antihistaminic, anti-depressant, anti-hyperlipidmic and anti-urolithatic drugs etc.
Extraction, isolation, evaluation and standardization of herbal drugs as per ICH guideline or as per
official method.

FOPS boast of its highly qualified team of professors who impart both theoretical and practical
knowledge of pharmacy to students. Education is imparted to students through theoretical and
practical sessions conducted with the help of latest tools and audio visual aids. College provides its
students with multiple labs like Pharmaceutics Laboratory, Pharmacology and Human Anatomy and
Physiology Laboratory, Pharmaceutical Chemistry Laboratory, Pharmacognosy Laboratory,
Pharmaceutical Biochemistry laboratory, Industrial Pharmaceutics laboratory, Pharmaceutical
Chemistry (Synthetic) laboratory, Pharmaceutical Microbiology laboratory, Pharmaceutical Chemistry
(Analytical) laboratory, Pharmaceutical Biology laboratory, Pharmaceutical Dispensing laboratory,
Pharmacology laboratory, Machine Room and Computer laboratory.
College provides its students with world class infrastructure facilities like 34 acres sprawling campus
with fourteen well equipped laboratories, a drug museum and a modernized library. Separate boys and
girls hostels with internet facility are available in both AC and Non-AC room options. College also
organizes regular co-curricular activities like educational trips, picnic, tour, sports meet and cultural
programs.
FOPS received one grant from Department of Science & Technology, Rajasthan and one AICTE
project grant has been provided under the MODROB scheme.
FOPS has a dedicated placement cell and students have placed in leading pharmaceutical companies
like Johnson and Johnson, Cadila, Torrent, Dr. Reddys, Cipla,etc.

Jodhpur National University under its flagship has several reputed colleges providing technical and
professional education in various disciplines. Jodhpur National University is an AICTE and UGC
approved university and incorporates colleges which offer courses affiliated from respective boards
and councils.

Jodhpur Law Institute offers BA, LLB (Hons.) and BA+LLB 5 year integrated courses approved by Bar
Council of India (BCI). Jodhpur Dental College General Hospital (JDCGH) offers BDS and MDS
approved by Dental Council of India (DCI). Jodhpur Pharmacy College offers Diploma, Bachelors,

Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). Marwar B.Ed College provides a curriculum which has NCTE
approval. Jodhpur National University also offers AICTE approved B.Tech, M.Tech and Ph. D.
courses through its subsidiary college Jodhpur Engineering College & Research Centre in various
disciplines like computer, electrical, electronics ,mechanical, IT and civil. University also offers
management, B.A. and M.A. courses in subjects like Fine Arts, Languages, Psychology, Political
Science, Yoga and naturopathy, etc. approved by respective course boards and councils. University
also offers B.Com, M.Com, BCA and MCA courses.

University boasts of multiple research papers and journals which have been published by its faculty
members. Professors and students from various disciplines of Jodhpur National University participate
in conferences and seminars at state and national levels. Jodhpur Pharmacy College has received
one grant from the Department of Science & Technology, Rajasthan and one AICTE project grant
