1. Features
SE5000 electronic crane scale is a high accuracy, one-side direct display-measuring unit
that combines scale, load cell and power supply together. It can be directly hung on the
hook of a hoist and ensure the scale to complete the tasks of loading and weighing goods
synchronously. The screen is made up to super-bright digital tube (LED), which can be
easily seen over 25 meters. The scale body is made of strong alloy aluminum. Its
structure is compact and operation is quite easy.
This type of scale can be widely used in manufacturing, chemical engineering, steel or
fabric producing etc.. It is really a satisfying scale for modern management and high
production efficiency.
This type of scale can meet the standard of OIML and R76 due to it superior quality.

4. Basic operation
(1) Starting
Turn on the power switch on the rear panel of the scale. The screen will show 88888,
the buzzer sounds one time, then the screen shows the battery voltage in the scale. At
last, the screen shows 0, now it is ready for measuring. (After starting, it is warming up
3-5min.)
(2) Taring (Zero)
If scale shows the number is not 0, please press <zero> key.
(3) Measuring
Hang the object from the ground till it is motionless in the air. Then read the number

from the scales screen. If you want to get net weight of accessories such as rope etc.,
please press the <zero> key, 0 shown. Then hang the object; the screen will show the
net weight of the object. Microchip in the scale can store the value of accessories weight,
so every time you can get the net weight of the object till you changed the accessories
or turn off the machine.
(4) Battery checking
Start the scale, the screen will show 88888, the buzzer sounds one time, then the
screen shows the battery voltage UXX.XX automatically (above 12.00V normally), you
can check it and turn off the scale.
(5) Turning off
After using, turn off the power switch on the rear side of the scale, in prevent of
damaging to battery. If voltage is lower than 11.5V recharge it in time.
(6) Recharging
Turn off the switch on the rear side of the scale, insert chargers plug into the socket of
110V~. Then connect the charger and the scale with a lead. The indicating lamp on the
rear side of the panel will be on. The scale now is in the course of recharging.
5. Guide of special display symbol

Overweight symbol OE
If the weight on the scale exceeds the alarm lever, the screen will show OE and
overweight gross value XXXXX alternately.

Automatic prompt dLP

In the course of taring, it will show 0 after a second in normal condition. But if you
press <zero> key twice in a second, scale will be show dLP, then the scale go into
condition of automatic time-delay measuring the net weight. After 20 seconds, it can
tare the gross weight automatically; the screen will show 0. This function is special
suitable for extremely heavy object which is unable is to press zero key when measuring.

Warning symbol of reverse force to load cell Ad-

When a scale is put on the ground, the load cell undertakes the reverse force.
Sometimes the screen will show the symbol Ad-, but it will disappear when it is hung
in the air, it is a normal phenomenon unless the load cell leads are damaged or broken.

Low battery voltage ULbL

When the voltage in scale is lower than 11.5V, the screen will show ULbL, it suggests
low battery voltage in scale. Please recharge it in time.

8. Maintenance
Electronic crane scale is an exquisite measuring unit. Its power comes from storage
battery. Daily maintenance must be needed:

It should be warmed up 3-5 minutes after starting.

It should be avoided to be overweight in a long term. It can do great harm to the

load cell.
Recharge the battery after every using. If it is not used in a long time, recharge

it once a month.
If the scale is not needed, hang it or put it on a small vehicle. Do not let the hook

touch any object. The storage environment should be dry and clear.
Check small parts of the scale on time to ensure it in a good condition.

3. Usage Method
Grade Changing: optional grade for selection: 1,2,5,10.
Press <Y>, <S> key at the same time, then loose <S>, then loose <Y>, the screen
will display p00
Press <X>, the password: 34 shown

Press <X> again, p01shown press <X>, current grade XX shown

Press <+>, modify the grade to you want, then press <X>, <S> at the same time;
the scale will be back to work condition. The scale now is working under the new
parameters.
Setting scale parameters:
Press <Y>, <S> key at the same time, then loose <S>, then loose <Y>, the screen will
display p00
Press <X>, the password:34 shown
Press <X>, p01shown, press <X> again, the screen will display p00...P20, then
you can modify any parameters that you want to modify (if from P06 to P07... you
should press <Y> and <X> at same time).
4. Example of setting parameters of 5t scale

Check all these choice and press <S>, quit the setting parameter environment
Hang the rope on the hook, press <zero> key of scale
According to order from minimum to maximum:

Hang the weight 1000kg till the object is motionless, press <Y>, then press <X>,

the screen will show bd1 in 10 sec, then the object weight on the screen will show 1000

Hang the weight 3000kg till the object is motionless, press <Y>, then press <+>,

the screen will show bd2 in 10 sec, then the object weight on the screen will show 3000

Hang the weight 5000kg till the object is motionless, press <Y>, then press <->,

the screen will show bd3 in 10 sec, then the object weight on the screen will show 5000
If the display number on the screen is equal to the weight, the scaling process is
completed. If not, it is repeat above the process.

According to the rule of measuring, re-check the accuracy of scale and other special
technical features
After completing the process, set P09=00 in order to forbid the scale go into scaling
condition by fault. (Warning: after showing P00, press <X>, then press <+> or <->.
Let the screen display a number not equal to 34, press <X>, <S> at the same time, then
you can lock all parameters.)
