AUSMUL

SYNTHETIC OIL BASED SYSTEM

Created by AMC Oil & Gas, AUSMUL is the next generation synthetic-based mud system. Temperature stable and adaptable, the system is
designed to create and maintain invert emulsions in diverse oil and gas field drilling environments.
AUSMUL is an invert emulsion system designed to perform specific functions and consists of three phases; non-aqueous, brine and solid phases
for moderate temperature application.
AUSMUL offers excellent formation protection properties, capable of overcoming traditional limitations of water-based mud systems. The system
is designed to address problems caused by troublesome shales, reactive clays, fractures, tectonically disturbed and high dip formations and the
resultant instability due to the water interactions processes such as hydration, swelling, dispersion, disintegration, capillary pressure, osmotic
hydraulic activation and erosion. AUSMUL is designed to deliver many other advantages for increased production rates and extended well life.

AUSMUL FEATURES AND BENEFITS

Inhibits reactive clays
Temperature stable up to 350F (177C)
Performs in a range of densities ppg (SG): 8 18 (0.96 2.16) and oil:water ratios (60:40 90:10)
Prevents formation problems such as stuck pipe, high torque and bit balling
Allows higher rates of penetration, reducing drilling costs
Minimises fluid loss in areas with high differential pressures
Imparts excellent lubricity and filter cakes, reducing the potential for differential sticking
Complies with all environmental standards
Minimises formation damage resulting in excellent return permeability
Protects against corrosion, especially CO2, H2S and other acidic materials
Prevents dissolution of salt formations
Achieves excellent core recovery.
