applicants are expected to be proficient in the english
language skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking to
meet the demands of the program.

Intended for learners whose first language is not English
and who have chosen a college academic pathway, or those
wishing to enhance their English for professional environments.

Applicants whose first language is not English are expected


to provide proof of completion of any of the following for
admission:
1. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Overall
score of 80. Post Graduate and Health Science programs
require 83 overall (Internet Based Test).
2. International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
Overall score of 6.0, with no band less than 5.5. Post
Graduate and Health Science programs require 6.5 overall.
3. English Credit, Ontario Secondary School Diploma
(Grade 12), college or university level.

SQuARE (C102) is a multi-disciplined department dedicated
to the support and guidance of international students
attending Mohawk College. The departments role is to
ensure that the international students are supported from
the time they arrive through to their graduation.

International Student Services can arrange personal airport
reception upon your arrival to Torontos Pearson International
Airport. This service includes: reception, assistance with your
luggage, transportation to your accommodation.

HeALTH inSUrAnCe And MediCAL ServiCeS
Health insurance for international students is mandatory and
provided through Mohawk Colleges insurance provider,
Guard.me. Students cannot opt out from this coverage. The
cost of health insurance is included in the students tuition.
More information about the health insurance coverage can be
found at Guard.me.

on campus Mohawk College Residence is awarded to


International students by lottery because of the demand,
so apply before May 15th for September accommodation.

Medical care services are readily available to all Mohawk


College students. The Mohawk College Health Clinic is
located at the Fennell Campus, Room C109. A physician is
available on a full time basis at the Fennell Campus.

Original academic transcripts in English and/or notorized copy of original
transcripts translated in English
An official TOEFL or IELTS score or similar evaluation of your
English language skills meeting college requirements

Application Fee ($100) as indicated on application (Non-refundable)
A Confirmation Fee of $400 is due on receipt of the Letter of Acceptance to secure a seat
in the program. The remainder of the payment is due by the deadline listed on the Letter
of Acceptance. Full payment is required by the deadline date to guarantee a seat in the
