Biblical World View Essay

Do you believe that God is the creator of heaven and earth? Did God have a systematic plan
for creation?
The Book of Genesis, Chapters 1-11 teach us that God accomplished
His desires by creating a natural world, a human identity, human relationships, and civilization.
In the beginning, everything that God created, He created to reproduce naturally after its
kind. Due to the disobedience of Adam and Eve, sin came into the world and the deterioration of
this natural order began. Not only did Adam and Eve die spiritually, but the ground was cursed
by God along with the serpent (Genesis 3:14, 17). Unfortunately, the descendants of Adam and
Eve followed in the rebellious ways of their parents, resulting in what would become the
beginning of the continuing story of human depravity and its terrible consequences. (Old
Testament Survey, Ed Hinson & Gary Yates 2012).
When looking at todays world, it is apparent that man has almost used up all of the
earths natural resources. Farmers have had to resort to injecting hormones into cows, chickens,
and fish, in order to produce food at a pace that can keep up with human demand. Consumers
now have to pay extra for poultry that is free of hormones, and is free range, meaning the
chicken, or hen receives natural exercise on a farm, which makes the meat and eggs healthier, as
opposed to being mass produced with no room to run around, resulting in less healthy poultry.
The same issue arises with farm-raised fish costing less than wild fish, which is considered much
healthier because the fish comes from its natural environment.

Once God created the heavens and the earth, the fowls of the air, the fish of the seas and
the great whales (Genesis 1:21-22), He created man in His image and likeness (Genesis 1:26-28).
This means that no race is better than, or superior to, another race. The species man was made in
the image and likeness of God, which means that humans have the capacity to have the mind of
Christ. Furthermore, the way that God dispersed Noahs sons to the different parts of the earth
after He blessed them and said, be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 9:1), demonstrates that God
did not bless any son more than the other.
Genesis 1:28 says, And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful, and
multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: This was the beginning of the human
relationship ordained by God. The United States of America has forgotten the instructions given
to Adam and Eve. In the natural order of Gods creation it is impossible for two men, or two
women to be fruitful and multiply. God clearly designed man and woman to be with each other
and reproduce after their kind. Gods position on human relationships outside of His original
commandment are an abomination to Him. In Genesis 19:21-29 God destroyed the cities of
Sodom and Gomorrah because of the wicked nature of the men in those cities. Leviticus 18:2224a says, You shall not lie down with man as with a woman; it is an abomination. Neither shall
you lie with any beast and defile yourself with it; neither shall any woman yield herself to a beast
to lie with it; it is confusing, perversion, and degradedly carnal. Do not defile yourselves in any
of these ways (Amplified Version). 1 Corinthians 6:9 says, Do you not know that the
unrighteous and the wrongdoers will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God. Do not
be deceived or misled; neither the impure and immoral, or idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those
who participate in homosexuality. Furthermore, Malachi 3:6a says, For I am the Lord, I do not
change; so Gods original instructions given to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden still stand.
The Pew Research Center published a report in June of 2015 that shows twenty-two countries,

including the United States, have legalized same sex marriage since 2000. The church should
teach believers to love the sinner, but hate the sin. This means that believers should educate the
lost as to what the word of God says regarding homosexuality, but this must be done in love.
After God created the natural world, identified man, and ordained the relationship between
man and woman, he commanded them in Genesis 1:28 saying, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the
earth, using all its vast resources in the service of God and man; and have dominion over the fish
of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth.
(Amplified Version); this was the beginning of civilization. After the fall of man, society
became more and more ungodly, to the point that God regretted that He had made man on the
earth, and He was grieved at heart. (Genesis 6:6). As God was considering destroying every
man, woman, child, fowl, creeping thing, fish, and beast of the earth, He considered Noah. God
found favor and grace with Noah, because Noah was a just and righteous man, blameless in his
evil generation; Noah walked in habitual fellowship with God. (Genesis 6:8; 9b). After the
flood, Gods intent to restore creation can be seen by His provision of the Noahic covenant (Old
Testament Survey, Ed Hinson & Gary Yates 2012). Once again, in Genesis 9:1, God blessed the
relationship of man and woman and said, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
This was the beginning of the new civilization, which spanned from the Middle East to Africa,
Europe and Asia. Hams descendants built the cities of Babel, Erech, Accad, Calneh, Nineveh,
Rehoboth, Calah, Gara, Gaza, Sodom and Gomorrah. Shems descendants migrated to the
Middle East by way of Mesha and Sephar. Japheth was the father of the Gentiles, as stated in
Genesis 10:2-5. Japheths descendants migrated to Europe and Asia Minor. In modern day
society, man is attempting to be like Nimrod by trying to start their own new civilization in space
through space exploration.

In conclusion, God loved man so much that He chose to spare the lives of Noah and his
sons, who were made in His image and likeness. God eliminated sin and wickedness with the
flood and restored the earth to naturally producing plants and herb yielding seed and the fruit tree
after its kind. God also preserved His image and likeness, or human identity through Noah and
his sons. God then reaffirmed His original design for man and woman when He told Noah and
his sons to be fruitful, multiply and replenish the earth. Finally, God provided Noah with the
Noahic covenant, which set the tone for the beginning of a new civilization.
