REVIVAL OF PAKISTAN

Pakistan is an Islamic country that has endowed with a cascade of natural resources. It has got significant
geo strategic importance in the world. It lies on the crossroads of the globe. Furthermore, Pakistan is also
a nuclear power which enhances its viability in the South Asian region. Having 6 th largest army, world
largest cotton producing country, 2nd rice producing country and what not?
But on the contrary, with multitude of problems the countrys ruling elite has efficiently lost control over
all major socio-political, economic and administrative processes and subsequently under currents of
history.
Its not untrue that Pakistan has been facing the insurmountable problems since its appearance on the map
of the world. The nascent state inherited a bulk of problems on the eve of independent. Different
governmental bodies have been chalking out different plans to tile over problems without any success.
At this juncture, Pakistan economy is under the pool of problems. Islamic Republic of Pakistan is
no more a pure democratic country.
Pakistan, unfortunately, is a definition of back to evolution. Instead of progressing, Pakistan is carrying a
burden of 66.2% Current Account deficit, a 4.6% trade deficit 4 % fiscal deficit and a surge of trust
deficit. There is no deficit that cannot be defined by Pakistan.
The breaths of nation will last before an end of energy crisis.
Pakistan still owes 6275.4 Billion external debts while accumulated debts are more than 17000 Billion.
Our country is much resembled like a farmers life, which born under debts, counted his breaths under the
debts and then buried under the debts.
8.53% rate of Inflation has raised everythings value but nosedive the mans life. Our lives are tossing
like a coin by the terrorists.
Unemployment is just a good topic to get marks in universities rather than to eliminate it from our
economy. Here the eating hands are 4 and the productive hand is only 1 and unfortunately the estimated
unemployment rate is 6.0%.
Despite of fall in the corruption in the running government era we still are at 127 number in International
Transparency Agencys list. And, we are still striving to raise our bank accounts by being corrupt.
Dishonest activities have devastated the whole system.
Moreover, education is not an enough ingredient to get a seat. To get hired at a good place; our father
must belong to that department.
Literacy rate is just counting the heads that can read and write. I want to give a moment of silence to the
58% of our literate force.
Technology means tech-no-logic over here. And thats why the foreign investment is tumbling day by day.
Even local investors are not ready to take any risk of investing in their own country.
Law and order situation is so bad that everyone says rules are for fools.

The POOR is more used for our network system, for our office systems than for the people. And if I have
ever heard any system is going well, that is our feudal system.
According to documentation everyone knows Pakistan is very good in regulatory measures but in actual
these are nothing more than a statement or a document.

Consequences:
Starting from Agriculture growth, that is declined to 3.6% from 4.4% in the last year.
Manufacturing sector also fell to 3.3% from 3.5%.
Service sector growth rate also tumbled to 3.7% from 5.3%
Gross investment rate has also bowed to 8.1% from 16.1%
Trade deficit of 4.8% has also been seen.
Gas supply is reduced to 1139.3 Mcf that was more than 1500 Mcf in the previous year.
Electricity shortage is nearly 8500MW.
After observing such drastic falls, it is no more ambiguous that our country is not flourishing at all.
Economic growth is in reverse shift and no economic development is in sight.

Revival of Pakistan:
It is the most frequent question on the board how to revive our economy. So far, I can only see the
revival of a political party.
But of course, there is always a light at the end of tunnel, so, by following some policies in a flow, we can
overcome our problems.

We should raise the cottage industry like in real terms.

54% of population is comprised of women and they are not getting their rights. So, there is an
intense need of taking actions for their right.
Government should stop giving lip service to the nation they must have to be sincere with their
job and they have to make sure that the policies they have chalked out must be implemented.
The concept of Nepotism must be removed and corruption should be weed out.
Energy crisis should be curtailed by installing coal projects.
Agro based economy should be flourished.
Privatization of departments is needed.
Proper budget allocation is necessary more than anything.
Free trade with neighboring country like, India, Afghanistan and Iraq.
Foreign Investment should be encouraged by improving law and order situation.
Voting rights should be given to the literate people only as China did it.
SAARC countries should have common currency for trading.

To conclude I would like to quote Stephen Cohens words, There is a need of three Ds not one and these
are development, defuse and diplomacy.
