Class Information North Dakota 4-H Remains Strong
4-H remains the largest youth development
The goal of this class is to equip the in-
structor or parent with the knowledge to
help youth archers advance to the interme-
diate level of archery equipment. The in-
formation in this workshop will help par-
ticipants make informed decisions about
purchasing new equipment.
This class is the next step in archery. The
instructor will explain target and hunting
bow technology. Topics and demonstra-
tions include installing peep sights, sights,
arrow rests, stabilizers, using releases, ar-
row selection, and basic tuning.
The class includes range time. The archer
will learn to adjust and shoot a compound
bow with a release aid. Some different
types of equipment, bows, and releases will
be available for everyone to try.
Youth can bring their equipment. However,
bows that will be shot cannot exceed 40 lbs
of pull. We will look at any equipment that
may need to be adjusted.
The class is 4 hours in length. Participation
in this class does not meet any archery in-
structor certification standards.

The training costs $40.00 per adult. There is
no additional cost for junior/senior level
archers who accompany an adult. This class
is designed so parents, volunteers, and youth
can learn about equipment and how to prop-
erly set up and use it. You do not have to be
an certified archery instructor. Supplemental
materials are provided.
Instructor
Instructor Mitch Tromberg is a certified 4-H
and NASP archery instructor and regularly
participates in competitive archery
tournaments. He is an archery technician for
the Outdoorsman in Fargo. He has experience
with Bowtech, Mathews, PSE, and Hoyt.
