Title IX of the Education Amendment Act of 1972 prohibited sex discrimination
in professional fraternities.

Alcohol and Drugs
1. possession/consumption of alcoholic beverages must be in compliance
with any and all laws and regulations (state, university, city, county,
etc)
2. No alcoholic beverages may be purchased using chapter, pledge class
or fraternity funds, and no member can collect funds for alcohol under
the chapter name
3. possession, sale, and /or use of any illegal drugs at any chapter house,
or fraternity sponsored event is prohibited
4. all rush activities are dry
5. no alcohol should be present at any pledge program
6. Alcohol at fraternity events
i. no host, cash bar basis by professional bartender
ii. BYOB event where only members of legal drinking age can
bring/consume alcohol
2. No serving or selling alcohol to minors
3. precautions will be taken to prevent over-consumption of alcohol
4. Members/guests who arrive intoxicated wont be permitted
5. Events should have a designated non-drinker
6. service of alcoholic beverages will be cut off at a specific time
