Asylum Access is an innovative nonprofit dedicated to making refugee rights a reality in Africa, Asia
and Latin America through individualized legal counsel and representation, community legal
empowerment, policy advocacy and strategic litigation. We are currently seeking a Communications
and Development Intern (CDI) to support our communication and development teams through online
communicationsaswellasprospectivepartnerresearchandengagement.
We are currently recruiting for an intern for the duration of Fall 2015. Interns are expected to commit
2030 hours a week at our office in Quito, Ecuador. TheinternshipwillbeginonoraroundSeptember
1,2015foraperiodofatleast12weeks.
As an Asylum Access intern, s/he will gain access to a dynamic, evergrowing network of refugee
rights and human rights advocates, receive mentoring by experienced professionals in the field,
practice a range of tasks for two separate departments, and develop a solid understanding of the
processes involved in developing and implementing a strategic approach to institutional fundraising
andcommunications.

Compensation:
This is an unpaid internship, and visa and travel costs to and from Quito Ecuadormustbeborneby
theapplicant.AsylumAccesswillsupporttheprocessingofappropriatevisasbutnotthecost.
