Alicia Rose Victorious
Foundation celebrates

Since 2002, the Voorhees-based

Alicia Rose Victorious Founda-
tion has worked across the nation
to provide activities, programs
and events to enhance the quality
of life for teens with cancer and
other life-threatening illnesses.
With such a focus on the well-
being of teens, perhaps it’s only
fitting that now, 13 years later, the
non-profit itself has officially be-
come a teenager.
On Nov. 13, the ARVF will cele-
brate a milestone year with its
13th Annual Birthday Bash from
6:30 p.m. to midnight at Lucien’s
Manor in Berlin.
The event will feature a cock-
tail reception, top-shelf open bar,
basket and silent auctions, a sit-
down dinner, awards, music and
dancing, with proceeds going to-
ward funding for ARVF’s many
Victorious-4-Teens programs.
AVRF was founded 12 years ago
after Alicia Rose DiNatale, daugh-

Tutoring Club
practice
exams set
Tutoring Club of Cherry
Hill/Voorhees will be holding
full-length practice SAT and ACT
exams on Sunday, Nov. 15 from
8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The cost of
this test is $40, with the proceeds
benefiting Walk For Family &
Friends With Cancer.
Students choose whether they
want to take an SAT (new or cur-
rent) or ACT practice test.
Tutoring Club of Cherry
Hill/Voorhees opened in 2004 and
since then has worked with more
than 6,000 students ranging in age
from 5-18 in virtually all subject
areas and SAT/ACT prep.
For the past eight years, Tutor-
ing Club of Cherry Hill/Voorhees
has been offering SAT/ACT prac-
tice days on 15-20 Saturdays or
Sundays throughout the school
year. Each student takes a full-
length SAT or ACT test, however
the score does not go on a tran-
script.
The student’s score and a full
analysis of each student’s test is
provided within 10 days.
The club charges a fee of $40,
with the proceeds going to a local
organization that “sponsors” the
SAT/ACT practice day.
To sign-up or receive more in-
formation just call or email the
club at (856) 616-8808 or cherry-

Kennedy Health
System presents
wheelchairs
to local veterans
Kennedy Health System, with
administrative offices in
Voorhees, recently presented 22
wheelchairs to Camden County
veterans during a corporate man-
agers and senior leaders team-
building event. Kennedy Health
President & CEO Joseph W.
Devine, on behalf of the Kennedy
leadership team, formally made
the donation.
“I commend Kennedy Health
for their commitment to our na-
tion’s bravest, and for setting one
of the objectives of their event to
serve our veterans,” said Free-
holder Michelle Gentek-Mayer.
“These new tools will be an asset
to our county’s veterans who are
injured or battling sickness. The
office of veteran affairs goes
above and beyond for our local
military members and this will
be one more resource we can now
provide to them.”
Marine veteran Edward Shay-
ka was the first individual recipi-
ent of a wheelchair during an
event at Kennedy’s Voorhees of-
fices on Oct. 30.
The wheelchairs are being
made available to be loaned out to
veterans through the Camden
County Office of Veterans Affairs
at 1-800-464-VETS.

On average, Cell Phones For
