as Faithful Leaders?
Building effective leadership across church boards requires knowledge of what
is required to be a faithful leader. With at least 300,000 Protestant churches
and Christian churches in the United States (Hartford Institute study), how
many of their leaders feel equipped for the 21st Century? As a ministry
consultant, Lynette Hawkins works with pastors, ministry leaders, faith based
nonprofit organizations and communicators. Lynette offers practical insight
and meaningful information on developing leadership that focuses on the work
of leaders. She has conducted seminars for hundreds of leaders nationally
across faith traditions.
In her early years on her church’s governing board, she mirrored the typical
new leader who had no clue on how to lead ministries faithfully. She learned
very early on that leadership in the church requires
an understanding of relying on God and modeling a
biblical approach to leadership. She discovered how
personal commitment and fine-tuned leadership
skills serve as a spark to grow new leaders. Her
ministry experience plus years of professional
training on nonprofit boards inspired her to share
with other leaders insight on leadership. She has
designed several very powerfully delivered
leadership workshops focusing on recruiting,
motivating and leading volunteers.
