Homework
IXL Math Remember to practice IXL at home. The 3 top IXL kids for October can have in lunch the
classroom one day. Only one parent has let me know that they do not currently have internet access
to IXL Math.
RAH - Remember your child should read every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night
as a part of homework.
Sight Words- I am sending home a pink sheet with 100 sight words for your child to practice. Check
off the words your child can read quickly. This is the sight word list for the first half of the school year
and I have introduced lists 1-6. Some children can the words much sooner. Send the pink sheet back
to me when your can child can read all the words and I will send a new list.

Math - On Thursday we will finish math unit 1, addition & subtraction within 10 and take the Unit 1 Summative Math Assessment. Unit 2 will
include many of the same skills with numbers within 20 including addition and subtraction words problems, number bonds, and addition and
subtraction facts with sums to 20.
Sight Words Practice lists 1-10 in October
Reading- Meet the characters in fiction stories.
Writing Writing narrative and realistic fiction stories.
Social Studies Red Ribbon Week, Name city, state, nation and continent.
