BOMBAY MEETS BRUSSELS AT THE DOMINICAN

THE BELGIAN CAPITAL COMES ALIVE WITH “DESIGN SEPTEMBER”

AND THE DOMINICAN HOTEL IS AT THE CENTRE OF IT ALL

Berlin, 2 September 2008 – This September, from the 7th to the 30th, the city
of Brussels, Belgium will be buzzing with Design September, an annual
festival attracting design talent from the fields of lighting, furniture,
decorative objects, as well as industrial, graphic, food and landscape design.

More than 50 design-related events will take place around the city and The
Dominican, a member of Design Hotels™, is one of the official partners of
the festival. In collaboration with Bombay Sapphire, the premium London
dry gin, three evening events titled “Blue Nights” will be hosted at The
Dominican’s Lounge Bar from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on 11, 18 and 25
September.

“During Design September the entire city comes alive, swept up in a

wind of innovative design and creativity” said Ellen de Boer, general
manager of The Dominican. “Having only opened the hotel late last year,
this is our first Design September and we are thrilled to be part of this
festival, particularly since design is so integral to The Dominican’s
concept.”

Bombay Sapphire is an active sponsor of creative design and has partnered

with The Dominican to create blue-themed evenings inspired by Bombay
Sapphire’s signature colour. During Design September Bombay Sapphire
will stir and shake up special cocktails at the Lounge Bar next to an
exhibition of one-of-a-kind cocktail glasses by internationally renowned
designers like Karim Rashid and Eva Zeisel. The exhibit also features the
winning creations of this year’s Bombay Sapphire’s Designer Glass
Competition.

The Dominican was chosen for Conde Nast Traveler’s Hot List this year
for its striking design and cool ambience. As such, it’s a natural gathering
place for the design community – in particular the hotel’s “Lounge Bar,”
which has become a favourite meeting point for designers, architects and
design enthusiastic guests.

The “Blue Nights,” and all other Design September events, are open to
the public.
