PROJECT DESCRIPTION
We are all aware that one of the most problem of our community is
that there are many malnourish children living with us. But thats not all..
Most of us are not aware or informed by the word TABLE MANNERS.
We need to have a proper hygiene, proper grooming and proper way of
eating, not just only for us but for the better future.
So in this project, I was challenged because of the children. They need
to be disciplined while they are still young, for I believe in saying: Ang
kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan.
With the help of my fellow Girl Scouts and my Troop Leader, I will
conduct Supplementary Feeding Program in the chosen Barangay.
In connection with this, before the children will be having their meal, I
will educate them about dinning matters, hand washing activity, and to Pray
before eating.
I want them to be a good citizen and leader someday. Im looking for
the better change in the world and I want to be a part of it.
Theres a saying Ive learned from the Girl Scout training. If we have
UNITY then, TOGETHER WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD.

OBJECTIVES
-The Children should be able to understand the importance of table
manners.

-Feed the 24 malnourish children and seek the change in their weight
and in their table behavior.

-In the end of the project, the children of RH-4 will have knowledge in
table manners and will have a change in their unnecessary attitude towards
eating.

METHODS
1. Write a permission letter from the parents and Brgy. Captain.
2. Endorsement letter for the principal and council executive.
3. Survey the selected project area.
4. Seek the help and cooperation of the community.
5. Plan for the project.
6. Coordinate to the proper person responsible for the project.
7. Follow up.
8. Networking.
9. Implementation of the plan.
10. Acquire skills.
11. Documentation written and pictorials.
12. Maintaining a diary.
13. Submission of Logbooks.
14. Evaluation.
15. Turnover.
16. Sustainability.

VERSES THAT INSPIRES ME..

Psalms 145:9
o The Lord is good to all: and His tender mercies are
over all His works.
He is good to all, He loves all of us and Hes looking to us
fairly. So whatever is your state in life, He will always be
faithful in loving you.
John 14:1
o Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God,
believe also in me.
It teaches us that in every trial we are facing, dont hesitate
to trust God and let our hearts not be troubled.
1 Samuel 16:7
o For man looketh on the outward appearance, but
the Lord looketh on the heart.
Whatever is our outward appearance, maybe we are ugly or
beautiful, rich or poor, strong or weak, as long as our heart is
clean, then we can please God for He is looking on our
hearts.
Psalms 46:1
o God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in
trouble.

Whenever we are troubled or confused, just go to God. Pray

and seek His presence, and when you feel like hope is gone,
cry unto Him for He is our great refuge. He is always there to
comfort and carry our burdens.
Psalms 133:1
o Behold, how good and pleasant it is for brethren to
dwell in unity.
As Philippine Girl Scout active members, we need to have
unity and cooperation for it is pleasant in the eyes of the
Lord when we all have unity. Together, we can change the
world.

Vitamins and Minerals
Reference: Teens Health from Nemours
Vitamins and Minerals make peoples bodies work properly.
Vitamins are organic substances, minerals are inorganic elements that
come from the soil and water and are absorbed by plants or eaten by
animals. Your body needs larger amount of some minerals, such as
calcium, to grow and stay healthy. Other minerals like chromium,
copper, iodine, iron, selenium, and zinc are called traced minerals
because you only need very small amounts of them each day.

Application:
Vitamins and minerals boost the immune system, support
normal growth and development, and help cells and organs do
their jobs. For example, youve probably heard that carrots are

good for your eyes. Its true! Carrots are full of substances
called carotenoids that your body converts to vitamin A, which
helps prevent eye problems.
Eating variety of foods is the best way to get all the
vitamins and Minerals you need each day. As well as the right
balance of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, and calories. Whole or
unprocessed foods like fresh fruits and vegetables, whole
grains, low-fat dairy products, lean meats, fish, and poultry are
the best choices for providing the nutrients your body needs to
stay healthy and grow properly.
