Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that caused by direct Mycobacterium
tuberculosis bacteria. Tuberculosis still become global health problem and as the
second disease that cause of death after HIV. WHO estimates that in 2011 there

knowledge, attitudes about prevention, residential density and the incidence of TB
exposure.
This research is an analytic study with case-control design. The research was
carried out at Puskesmas Lepo-lepo Kendari city in February-March 2014. The

sampling. The techniques of data collection used questionnaires by interview and
observation. The statistical test that used is odds ratio (OR).
The results showed that the genesis rate of knowledge related to the genesis of TB
pulmonary (OR = 73.85, 95% CI = 20.220 to 269.773), attituderelated to the
genesis of TB pulmonary (OR = 77.50, 95% CI = 9.90 to 606 , 68), residential
density related to the genesis of TB pulmonary (OR = 24.37, 95% CI = 8.36 to
71.04), lighting related to the genesis of TB pulmonary (OR = 20.42, 95% CI =
7, 31 -57.05).
Based on the results of this study, it concluded that the level of knowledge,
