Excavation below ground water level has not been measured in
accordance to clause D.15 and D16 of the SMM of Building
Works Second Edition.
The excavation rate shall include for keeping all excavations free
from all water (including storm, percolating, spring, running water
and water below the Water Table Level and the Contractor is to
ascertain for himself the water levels as no claims will be
entertained on the grounds that these levels are not known) by
pumping, baling and other means including formation of
temporary drainage.
