Okay...

so I recognize that taste is subjective - not to mention that "underground"

doesn't quite define the sounds of each individual artist. However, if you are
typically a fan of underground hip-hop, here are a few artists I bet you haven't heard
of, and may really like.

Im bound to have made some mistakes somewhere, but I threw this together really
quickly. Other than Stankface Records, all of these guys are new to me.

If you have any artists that nobody knows about who definitely deserve to be heard,
post a link, by all means. Sharing is caring.

*Red Lotus Klan*

Red Lotus Klan is a collective from Southern California composed of several

members, including but not limited to *SCVTTERBRVIN* (Scatterbrain), *Mathias
Kruse*, *Story Villain (aka Story Kid?)*, and *Lucid Root*. They are a breath of
fresh air in a world full of ignorance. Internal rhymes and multisyllables,
knowledge, psychedelic influences, and a throwback to the 90s sound (tweaked with
modern techniques, of course) make this group worth keeping an eye on, as they
may just blow up one day. Members of Red Lotus Klan are also members of the
larger group *Snail Cage*, along with members of *420 Noize*.

I dont have much to say much about this dude other than that he is dope, as I dont
know much about him. What I do know is that he is friends with some of the
members of Red Lotus Klan and collaborates with them quite often.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------*Chicago*------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------*Stankface Records*

This independent label includes hip-hop duo *The Palmer Squares (Terminal
Knowledge and Accumental)*, *Will Is Chillin*, *Bruce Bayne*, *Rebel Legato*, and
*Loud Mouth*.

These guys are on another level, although they are not everybodys style. Inspired
by the environment of Chitown, psychedelics and other drugs, old-school hip-hop,
the Misfits, and god knows what else, Stankface Records is bound to make a splash
one day even if its 200 years in the future when society can finally catch up to
half of their rhyme schemes. Multisyllables, internal rhymes, and wordplay for days.

Im big on these guys, so Im going to separate them based on artist.

Hungry

(a fun song, featuring all 6 artists, with a theme of hunger, obviously)

BUNK - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-byenOdnSkE
(a goofy song about getting bad weed, featuring all 6 artists)

Now we can get to the individual artists.

*Will Is Chillin*
Will is someone that it took me a minute to get into. After discovering The Palmer
Squares, I listened to some of his music, but didnt **really** listen. This guy is a
versatile monster, switching from old school flows to new school with ease. He is
often compared by first-time listeners to Eminem. To me personally, I think he
pulled major influence from both Nas and Eminem, in both flow and tones. He may
be above TPS on my list.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*The Palmer Squares*

Some find them corny, others see them as geniuses on the mic. The cypher-junkies
TPS are probably the unofficial kings of Stankface, as they bring in a lot of traffic
with their nasty multisyllables and unorthodox material not to mention their
versatility on beats.

Term K, partially influenced by Talib, has a habit of rhyming bars unpredictably,

almost backwards. Hell start a rhyme scheme, and just when you think you know
where hes going with it, he leaves you in the dust.

Accumental is a little smoother in his own right, although it takes most a while to
notice since Term takes the spotlight for new listeners. He creates multisyllable
rhymes that could rival those of Del tha Funkee Homosapien.

*Rebel Legato*
I dont know what to say about this dude. He is definitely much more new-school
compared to TPS and Will. I dont like all of his music, personally, but he does have
his moments. He loves the ladies to hell and back and hes worth checking out.

Stress Free ft. Bruce Bayne

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_oQHu4OwfM

*Bruce Bayne*
Yet to release a tape as far as I know, Bruce Bayne is one of Stankfaces most
anticipated artists. He has mad flow, great wordplay (check his verse on BUNK),
and overall great rhyme schemes. Bruce, much like Rebel, is much more newschool sounding. He often starts off with a simple flow and rhyme scheme and
builds up so that by the end of his verse, his listeners are hyped up. You really dont
notice the transition, as its so smooth.

HML

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsxMH2eto4E&spfreload=1

*Loud Mouth*
Probably my least favorite member, due to his voice and content, LOUDMOUTH
boasts lyrics that will remind most of mainstream lyrics. However, his delivery as
far as rhyme schemes are anything but mainstream. Im sure hell find a place in
someones heart.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------*Sweden*---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------*The Drop Theory*

When I first heard these guys, I had no idea they were foreign. They encompassed
the hip-hop style so well. They sound like US artists (and great ones at that!), so
dont be turned off by the region! I dont know much about them, but seriously
based off of the sound, they easily could have emigrated from the US to Sweden.

Really not too much to say about these guys. Just really good hip-hop, if youre

youre into UK hip-hop, check em out.
