Post Process Rust Preventive Core Product Range

Lubrizols metalworking rust preventives provide protection to metals and metal parts during storage and shipment. The films deposited by these materials on the metal
surfaces prevent rust and corrosion by displacing water and providing a physical barrier to the atmosphere. Various additives are available to manufacture oil, solvent, or
emulsion-based rust preventive fluids that meet specific application needs. The film type is dependent on both the physical nature of the additive and the carrier fluid
selected. Performance requirements should be considered based on the expected atmospheric conditions during storage and shipment, and the length of time that
protection is needed. Removal of the protective films can be achieved with solvents and/or alkaline cleaners (depending upon film type and thickness). Further product

Thin Film
Thin Film products are formulated packages that are diluted in solvent, oil, or combination; resulting in dry-to-touch, greasy or oily, thin films for extended indoor protection.
